Black Friday

Destroying Balls Everyday
Anyone doing anything for Black Friday this year?

I will probably be going to Best Buy (hell) to get in the blu-ray deals and probably end up buying movies that I don't really care for in the first place. :p

Going to gamestop for $200 ps3 bundle. 2nd year in a row my mom has said "I'll give u the money, but your shopping for your own Christmas present on Black Friday" last year it was gamestop for a PSP bundle. Old systems? Yes. Cheaper? Yes. More likely to not be in a fist fight over the last one? Yup everyone else already has one :)
Too old for my mom to be buying me game consoles for Christmas? Probably. Do I care? Nope :)

Tried Best Buy once (and only once) back when I had $, to try to get my mom a computer. Almost got scalded by an overturned vat of hot cocoa in front of the store, and the computers were sold out by the time I was 3 steps inside the building. Never again.

This is a great time to get a PS3. There is such a backlog of great games, you can pick up 4 good used games at Gamestop for the price of one new one if you don't have to have the latest thing. I finally got one recently and I'm loving all of the cheap games! (Bought Heavy Rain directors cut new, but even that one was a Greatest Hits)

I'm not even going to waste my time with black Friday. No way I'm going among those ignorant herds. Besides, I'll be recovering from all the food.

You really didn't have to do that. lol I already keep track via Fat Wallet

I already have my list for Best Buy and am making my list for Amazon. I should end up with about 60 or so Blu Rays after this. lol

lol, no problem, when you said bluray I immediately recalled all the movies listed this week. The Lord of the Rings Extended for $50 almost pulled me in but I saw the 1st movie's extended version and I didn't see anything special. I'm sure they look great in Bluray though.

Working :(

And besides isn't it Black Thursday Night this year with soooo many stores starting their sales at midnight?

I am buying a 24" tv on bestbuy.com at midnight for my daughter for $79. Then I am working 14 hours that day.

Hmm.. I'd like to get to best buy, but who knows. I can't stand crowds, or people really for that matter.... But best buy is pretty cool, especially when it's empty.

Hmm... after checking Amazon, I've decided to just skip on Best Buy and order everything on Amazon.

Lol, by "skip" do you mean "miss all the excitement" ?

If you can call getting trampled "excitement". I have had some terrible experiences. I'd much rather stay home and be lazy rather than save a ton of money; while dealing with the crowds, and people outside in the cold.

But when it comes to online Black Friday shopping, that's a completely different story.

That sucks. A few years back, I witnessed 2 deaths on Black Friday, but since then it has become 100x more civilized. There's no crowding the door anymore. You get in line and they allow 5-10 people in at a time. Get your shit and get out. Simple as that. That's the way it should be anyways.

I will be lazing the day away at home. Or my friends house. Gonna wait for cyber monday deals. I've already done my xmas shopping so there's nothing I need. Except maybe a mini cupcake maker :-)

Well considering that I could purchase everything that I wanted on Amazon for the same or very close price, I decided that it would be best to just purchase there instead of braving the crowds in an underground Best Buy. lol

I hear ya there. I remember one year in my neck of the woods at a ww. This old lady was putting a desktop computer in her cart. This guy grabs the other strap and when the old lady said it was hers. He pulls a knife out and cuts the strap she was holding. So I don't mess with them crazies out there.

I'll be working for a living. Probably be at the office buying crap online though. Have a budget of about $500 this year.

I am visiting sissy in Michigan for Thanksgiving and *coughs* Black Friday Shopping!! *yay*
I was going to get a laptop but I'm broke from registering for a course next term. So, I have to make due with what I have (4 year old Lenovo lappie) :( Sis got a spare laptop, so if mine breaks down...I'll be using hers. I need to buy a couple of chargers for my Artie. And some SHOES!!! :D hahaha

I'm VERY tempted to get a tablet. The Asus Transformer is only $250!

I'm excited. I'm taking tomorrow and Friday off. Leaving early tomorrow morning. I will be packing my empty suitcase.
