Root [Boost Mobile] Build.prop speed tweaks [Updated Mar 12th]

Im not having problems with wifi... v0.4. The wifi reactivated itself one time on its own, right after the initial reboot, but no problem since then.

One thing i noticed was that it appeared to be affecting the memory autokiller optimizer app, which has tweaks for root users. Ive noticed it popping up the 'applying settings' notification a few times since doing this mod.

One of the tweaks is to change the wifi scan interval to 3 min. Perhaps thats where the conflict is, and why im not having the wifi problem? If the advanced tweaks are changing the setting after boot? Maybe someone can edit the line to 180 seconds and see how it goes.

So whats the thoughts about this after the 08c update? I believe some of these lines were changed in the update, so....avoid this tweak for now? has anyone tried it after the 08c update and noticed anything negative?

It will still work i just have to update a couple things and then re-add them to the new version build.prop

Instructions

￭ Place the downloaded "build.prop" on your SD card

￭ Use a root explorer or a file explorer than can edit system files

￭ Copy the downloaded "build.prop" file

￭ Navigate to /system

￭ Place the new "build.prop" file in /system

￭ it will ask to overwrite the existing one please select yes

￭ Once done copying reboot the device



You should see some difference with speed, media performance, and less lag on your Warp.

So umm... where exactly is this modified build.prop file? Either that or there are some instructions written in Invisible type.

I do notice a speed increase most definately, It could also be due to my experimentation with freezing a few system apps, but yeah right on def noticed something.

Boostmobile, 3g doesn't it tell you something????

They control the Internetz traffic... Meaning when it's up to them to have a good speed

usually I have good speeds around 12 am to 11:am and 2pm to 5 pm last at night around 8 or 9 pm to the nextday.

But the bestesti i have experienced are from 12 am to 6am

200+ kb/s

or because we are all rooted it makes no difference?
noticed a little bump in 3g speed not much but very very happy on the speed increase on the phone

A little bump in 3g speed is good enough for me. My 3g speed varies drasticaly. Its all the ares too, In my town I can have full signal 3g green bars, but slowwwwwwwww downloads, in the next county over, i can have full 3g bars but white colored ( boost's medium grade signal or w/e), and much snappier download speed.
