Hello gentlemen I recently wrote a post about rom issues and one in particular seems to have a wide audience I know not if this is a solid fix but my back button for a while stopped lighting up now I have heard about peoples other buttons stop lighting and have even heard the problem surfaces intermittedly now the way I got my button to light and yes I did it today and yes it still lights up I actually stumbled upon it by accident (kinda my luck so it seems) I was going to fix permissions for my swapper app going kooky and I noticed that after I hit reboot system and waited all my buttons lit up now I have no idea if this is a permanent fix but its what I solved it with just launch cwm go to advanced got to I fix permissions (or set permissions I really can't seem to ever write a non vague post haha) after permissions are fixed hit reboot and see if it fixes the problem if not hopefully this thread will dig up the actual problem and eventually the definitive solution

Is it just the back button? I'll pull apart my test phone and take a look to see if it has separate lights if you'd like, oh and about my posts I made on this subject, hope you know it was all in good fun, ;)

The leds on the buttons stop working to save power i don't know why but i went poking around the stock rom and i found a scrip sayin turn off led after five min

What is it? I tell ya its great that other people dig around like I do, there is all sorts of hidden fun stuff. Like if you have a launcher that supports activities, go into the setting activity, scroll down til you find tether setting, for real, make a shortcut to it, brings up the tether menu, doesn't work, but its cool that its there :D

I Don't Really Know What The Scrip Is Called (Sorry For Not Knowing) Buy when i stumbled upon it i was going through a nandroid backup i made

Sorry that's another example of how vague I can really be it isn't turning off to save safe power its just not lighting up at all well it was alot of people seem to have this certain problem I do not think it is hardware more software or code from permissions gone out of control it wasnt turning on at all just the back button the others lit up fine

My home button quit working again. before i flashed noobV and it still doesnt work. will try the permissions thingy.

Nope, no go. back button still not working.

Damn down I didn't think Zte could make such a complicated device. Maybe it's only the software they lack sophistication in..

See look at that I didn't find the problem but it appears I have summoned reinforcements to aid the problem I just won't be tearing apart my phone due to it is my only line to my job hahahahahaha

I tried, and it didnt work, i still think the led just burned up.:(

Now i could have heard wrong guys but i always have known leds as light emitting diodes thag said i have always been told an led lasts almost forever being it is not as fragile as a light bulbs filament it is an electrical surge that due to some tinting can obtain color (i am trying to go to school for electronic technology among other subjects but i have never heard of an led burning out but like i said i have been wrong before

P.s- i am also aware of the existance of multi color leds too alot more complicated those things are
