Root [Boost Mobile] Let's Start A Team ROM!?

A few of the apps have to nlbe modified to run correctly on b07. Kind of like how I had to tweak the systemui from halo to work on the alliance rom. I'm sure a few small adjustments to the smali in the mms apk and we are up and running.

On a side note I tested mms on a1. Same thing it sends mms but doesn't receive

When you say it doesn't receive, do you mean the recipient doesn't receive the picture or you can't receive pictures?

Jim humor me for a minute, on droidsmith,, what are you apn settings?

so, got MMS to work! I had to use GO SMS Pro...this is temporary until someone can figure it out. The fix is at the bottom of the page, or maybe higher if you can understand what he's talking about. Hope this helps someone.

Getting MMS to work on Android for Boost mobile - PPCGeeks

edit: never quite been so happy, and it's definitely an APN problem :D

Well in adw home screen, long press and swipe to the left. Select custom shortcut. Then select pick your activity. Go-to settings then APN. You will have a blank screen. Press menu and create a new apn for boost.if that works with the mms app as is, we can figure out how to configure a default apn at first boot...

so the question I have...is why is the APN settings missing from the wireless networks menu (edit: AND the adw menu)?? is it perhaps due to the swap of the public mobile baseband to function on boost? if we can access that, the apn settings can easily be manually changed.

It is as if it does not even exist

Look up we where writing at the same time.... :p

the apn setting isn't in our rom. thats why its missing... maybe it could be added to settings...

but if you modify the apn through custom sortcut, can you receive pictures with stock mms?

screenshots attached are of the mobile settings and adw settings menus (you probably already know this XD). APN is not here.

edit: since it's almost 1am here, i'm going to bed. :) good work today.

Ok that's not quite the right menu I omitted a step... you have to select "activities" after "pick your activity"... then go-to settings and APNs..

EDIT: FOUND IT. Thank you!!!!! so yes, it does exist in the rom but we can't access it normally. Also, everything is blank. no name, apn, proxy, port username, password, server, mmsc...etc. Gotta manually add it all.

To throw in my 2 cents if you guys are using public mobiles stock ROM as a base then that's why MMS isn't working.

Edit: I evidentially need to read the whole thread before I post.

@anmire you still remember how to get the apn menu in alliance? did you try
