Root [Boost Mobile] Let's Start A Team ROM!?

Well I must have set up quickpanel correctly. DroidSmith is uot compatible. I suspect the for some roms comes from .9.PNG files that are edited incorrectly

B07Test.Zip.
32GB Class 10 SD-Card
1805Mhz Min/Max
Performance/Noop

122Mhz Min 1805Mhz Max
SmartassVII/Sio

Should be 5762.

United Warp Rom B08.Zip
32GB Class 10 SD-Card
1805Mhz Min/Max
Performance/Noop

122Mhz Min 1805 Max
SmartassVII/Sio

122Mhz Min 1805Mhz Max
LionHart/Noop

My copy of B10GStripped still does not have a screenshot app or a file browser to install one. Anyone got a link?

EDIT: I also did a third test on B07Test.ZIp. No screenshot because the app in that rom was a 3 shot test version only. I screwed up 1. Anyway for data purposes the results for the third test of B07Test.Zip are.
122Mhz Min 1805Mhz Max
LionHart/Noop
5574 Most of the other detailed stats were close enough to all the rest of the runs

If you have one of my theme zips you can delete everything except the system/app folder and erase everything in it, and throw the apk in there.

Sorry about that. I was unaware that it had a limit of 3. Glad to see the results rolling in. Seems like they are all fairly close

B08 is pretty fast! I wonder if it is just that much less bloated than b10g? Cause yours is stripped less than mine! @Merc

The only build prop stuff that is in the stripped b10g is whatever was in alien.

Imagine how fast b08 would run once we've debloated and optimised frameworks and tweaked it out in initd and build prop.

Not sure, but wow... we may have found us a winner then! :D

That said, I wonder if the main difference in speed between these firmware revisions is the number of background processes running in each. If we were to execute ps in a terminal, would we find a higher number of background processes running in the newer versions? And if so, could we prevent them from executing or kill them after launch to obtain speed and the latest firmware?

Hmm...

Also, I only used the Alien kernel itself, not its ramdisk. That way I avoided the init.d system and such, which may affect the benchmark.

Started creating a closer-to-stock-ics-&-jb look for this new rom, the battery icons are gonna be 1% incrementals, should I keep the percentage battery or should I remove it? Also I'm thinking of adding a glow around it since its kinda tough to see agains a black status bar sometimes, it just looks like a blue square at times.

I'd say 1% increments are the way to go only if we're going to leave the percentage numbers on. If not, it won't matter - we don't have enough room in the icon to make 100 different levels on a meter, nor would the average user be able to tell the difference in, say, 87% and 88% without numbers being there to point out the change.

True, so far it seems that way. I think the main thing to see will be how PMI's firmware sets against Boost's... that'll be interesting :)

Any one like the name unity rom? I think if flows better than united warp rom

United Warps of America :p
Time for another poll?

I hate to recycle names but I really liked Phoenix...

I really like Unity, but there's already the Unity Engine, and - copyright pettiness aside - maybe folks would think we have something to do with that project as well.

I love the name Phoenix for a ROM! However as awesome as it sounds and as much as I like it, I don't think it fits the way this project in particular is coming together.

On that note, how about the Alliance ROM? And this would be a great bootsound :D

Thanks, Thesaurus.com :)

On a ROM named Phoenix, though, I can already visualize the boot screen... in a blaze of orange and red pixels, the bird rises in a fury from a black mass of ashes while it cries out its call, something between an eagle's screech and the caw of a crow. Done at a high frame rate and drawn well, that could be one awesome intro to a ROM :)

And it still need a screenshot app.:) Be easier on the testers.:)
Please:p

Woman! Merc provided one! I didn't see th point in providing a redundant resource. They need to be testing all of the roms as mentored earlier. It's a separate zip!
