ZTE is not quite the refined company as it's peers, i'm sure in time they get their act together. Or they might just continue these sloppy business practices. Honestly it doesn't matter
 
since they dont want to release a good kernel i am willing to go up to there headquarters in dallas (I live one hour away from)and argue with them:mad:.It is messed up if they dont see how some people work real hard like hroark and not save them there valuable time that they can be doing something else. If you read this you should send a email of complains to them.

I agree, and thank you -- but ... I think the most likely way to get ZTE to release the kernel is once we have as many names as possible on our petition, we alert media people and bloggers who write about android -- including anybody here who blogs, tweets, etc. If you need somebody to help with this reaching out, I'm a lifelong journalist (print) who currently does marketing and can pitch in.
btw -- is there a link to an actual electronic petition that I somehow missed?

Well zte did release a working kernel source after hroark and co made one
