Root [Boost Mobile] Roam control

But what if u use a sprint prl would it be possible then (just trying to figure it out)

At one point I changed my PRL over to one which includes Verizon roaming, and my Warp will roam on Verizon... but since there's no (current) roaming agreement between the two companies, Verizon comes up with a message prompting you to enter a credit card number to proceed on their network.

So much for that.

I believe I'm back on stock now, but IIRC it was #11114. I didn't stay on the line long enough to hear the price. If you can't find it, check my PRL collection. The link's in my signature.
 
there is a therory i have on this matter... the public mobile stock deodexed rom found here:

that one has roaming because the public mobile network is so small...

your mms will not work but it would be a good test on what it would do and from there we could merge certain files from that rom on to a boost rom and make a roaming boost rom... but as far as agreements go that would be another story...

Just a little edit... when ii say your mms wont work, it will work for texts but not for picture messaging...

So you're saying basically take the PRL out of that ROM and put it in a Boost ROM?
 
That would flash your service.
For example if you flash a cricket or verizion prl and try to make a call youll get a recording that your phone is not athorized for service.
 
no they are their own network here in canada... they only cover montreal an toronto and nowhere in between however they have north american roaming... we use the boost custom rom on a already activated phone and it works fine as long as the vdmc.apk doesn't kick in... so that being said i don't know if after installing the rom your phone will automatically connect to the network as ours do... but its worth a test to see what would happen... nativly the phone runs cdma/evdo and if you wanna test the roaming the option is in nework settings and just set it to automatic instead of home only...
 
I think if it was as simple as a prl change any of us using a sprint prl would have roaming.
If i had a second warp id play with cdma workshop (or another program) and take a look because thats where the ability to roam should be
 
well the prl was not changed in my phone when using the boost rom(warp cream sandwich) but i had to delete the vdmc.apk... but but the phone would go onto roaming when out of town it was out of service... I am just speculating.. this is just a theory... but the rom definately has something to do with it....
 
Yea it can be blocked in the rom. But if its not enabled in the deep programing of the phone it wont work either.
If we use sprint prl and find the rest we can get roaming
 
ok fair enough... what do you think the results would be if you where to not change the prl but using the public rom? no roaming towers to connect to?
