I wasn't on stock for more than an hour, it took me that long to download and run SnakeX's root script on my computer, then make a nandroid backup, then download and install shinru's rom :P
I do not know this "stock" of which you speak :rolleyes:
 
So I was bored & decided to reflash the 4.3 and Im glad to say that Instagram has downloaded fine. I guess my phine just wanted to be a pain in my @$$ today :-) Thanks for all the help!
 
not sure how this happened, but my dialer buttons numbers are missing. I can see the letters at least and can dial fine without them. don't know if anyone else is experiencing this.
 
I don't understand how you could be having that sort of problem... the letters and numbers for the dialer are in png images, and the numbers and letters that correspond with them are both in the same image...
 
Yeah same here, all the images are fine in my phone. I still don't see how half an image would show up in the dialer... its not making sense unless it was a bad ninjamorph or something along those lines...
 
I'm running your rom right now, but when I run my PowerAmp, it gets all funk when hooked up to mu stereo..(??) eh, just asking, anyone having this problem? I uninstalled and got from playstore ... I'll try it again.
 
I've never tried PowerAmp on this rom, I'll give it a shot either later tonight or tomorrow if I'm not busy...

Anywho, turns out the test I posted earlier with the new superuser has the binaries in correctly (as far as I know), and root shouldn't be lost since this isn't touching the recovery in any way so worst case scenario is the superuser app doesn't do its job or force closes... I've got the spinners spinning more smoothly but its still getting out images from drawable-mdpi when this is obviously an HDPI phone so that shouldn't be happening, so I've almost got a workaround for it... and I'm probably gonna remove the dpi changer in settings since it seems to be messing with the rom a bit.
 
Never Mind, I think my sd card just took a poop! Im Able to get all the stuff off onto my computer, but, it's not showing up on the phone. Before I go any further, I'm backing up everything onto the computer then I'll re-install the sd card to the phone.........

It came back! IDK??? It acted crazy today down in my shop, trying to play my music. Got home now, & then tried to find where some of my files were and nothing! I took it out, slipped into the computer (everything there). Just now popped it in, and good to go. IDK??

I just love how all these weird issues are pooping up after I modify the script for dirty flashing...

What exactly do you mean by it acting crazy? Did it try to summon Satan randomly in your pocket??
 
IDK??? I have Satan is in my Living room, watching cable tv all day, and doing bong hits....... If she were in my pocket I'd know it! LOL
 
When I was playing PowerAmp, and switching from one song to another, it would say, "File not Found", and I know damn well it's in there, cause it's one of my fav's!

Hmm... I don't know what would cause that issue... this rom has Halo as a base and when I had Halo 1.1 I had no issues with poweramp... and I haven't done anything that would break it except add in beats and megabassbeats but that shouldn't have anything to do with it otherwise it'd just break audio completely....
 
I built DS using a standard swap file. zRam created long term stability issues with DS. I wanted to be sure the rom could go long periods of time without a reboot.
