well its kinda the reason why I made most of the apps uninstallable... but I'll see what I can do about going barebones. I'll remove a few of the unnecessary apps, or some that don't go with the rom well. I'm thinking of switching out Apollo for the Gingerbread music player that I themed for CTmod, Apollo sucks up a bit of battery and the other was really reliable. Unless I can find a better replacement...

I typically replace the file explorer with ES, the keyboard with ICS Keyboard, the calculator with RealCalc, and don't typically use LMT. Circle Alarm I like a lot, though.

We could go on & on about apps but it all boils down to preference. I love many apps but I try to go as minimalist as possible because of the specs of this phone. Some of my perferred apps just doesnt work. Ex. naked browser hasnt worked on this phone since i got it but it seems to work on much crappier phones. ultra explorer, a few camera apps, etc. I use aircalc which is minimal, doesnt have any start-up triggers, actually closes and allows me to multi-task. For this phone, player pro has been my go to music player but thats if your willing to cough up some bread. I havent had any problems with the file explorer but I have a few I keep on deck depending on wat I want to do(ghost commander, es, zarchiver, xplorer, or... )(i think i have to many file-explorers). i try to stay away from apps that you have to download add-ons for every damn thing and I love all-in-one apps. Again its all depends on your lifestyle. I would definitly love a bare-bones version so I can really set this up the way I want it to save space and keep it fast. Damn another flash, there goes my scores and coins in rail rush. Its worth it though. Best rom I had. Thanks Bro.

Forgot to say, do deep research on the apps yall use. Its a lot of badly coded apps floating around. I dont care how many people use them. Just think, how many people know what you know. We're scientist here. Trying to go beyond the earths atmosphere...

just strip it down! We're all big boy's and girls. We can add our own apps. There are a lot of apps in rom's that I would never use. Why not make a "bare bone's rom, and add what you like. Clean and simple. Or do you have to incorporate all of the apps one way or another. I understand the system, but apps?

some apps are finicky, like the calculator, others can be removed, but then they have to be flashed in a package with other apps (like the play store, google play services, calendar...)

I vote hacker's keyboard. Use calculators all the time, don't care which, don't use lmt as cool as it is, need some kind of alarm. Really could install them all myself though....

I don't have a PayPal... usually I just get shipped the things

I also got an iPhone guys >_> (I know I know), it's just for games and crap really, but I did find some interesting things that I can apply to the rom

The nerve of this guy ^^^^

I say we tie him up and burn the iCrap while he watches helplessly... Teach him a lesson... Whos with me!?!? Lol :p

I second that motion.

Seriously tho crapples products are just like there logo... A bite short.

I did learn a bit and some others piqued my interest from this iPhone that my friend have me, so I can use it in this rom to give it an extra push too. Don't worry I'm not gonna be caught dead with an active iPhone, it's mostly for games and research

You mean a byte right? Lol

Lol a bit of both :D

Also I've had 1 apple product (beyond the green screen computer when I was very young) and that was a nano that the battery gave out in less than 2 months with little use.

Holo launcher just got a KitKat update...

Bring on HB8 KitKat lol

ROM is awesome but i've run into a problem. Not sure it is connected to ROM but its never happened before. When I tried to use Root Explorer I get a message saying it could not get root access, I downloaded Root Checker from Playstore and ran it. It says that I don't have proper root access. but Superuser is still installed so I'm not sure if I have root or not. What should I do? .Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Skinny I hate to admit this but I've been using the same USB cable for 2 years and I'm using it nonstop for charging and PC connection ... the part that is funny is its a factory blackberry cable that I got from my old boss when she got her new blackberry ( torch I think). This cord is well built... I'm talking its easly 2x as thick as any other I've come across.

Have you updated Superuser? It shouldn't have much to do with it, but I haven't run into issues even with the outdated one, on either of my units.
