Root [Boost Mobile] [ROM] n00b (B10 based) VIII.II FULL Install 1/23/2013

I too have heard the same but I run a lot of apps as well as 6+ widgets and can't keep my RAM above 100mbs running straight ROM only. But running something causes other issues. Can't win lol
 
even the best autokillers or ram optimizers would conflict with built-in Android ram handler, so best way is adjust minfree values properly
 
Guess I'll have to start wiping caches every couple of days, as that's the only thing that'll get me going smoothly again for a couple days.

Autokiller Memory Optimizer works great on Extreme preset, however, if you fix permissions while running it, it RAM dumps and all sorts of issues occur
 
Hello everyone,
I just started using this phone. I gave my daughter my brand new GS2 for Christmas so I am stuck with the "old" phone. I rooted and downloaded this rom. So far so good ;this phone is not bad at all. Battery so far has been outstanding on this rom. I am having an issue with gps. I don't seem to be locking in on a signal. Is there anything I can do fix this?

I would check your switch on your drop down to make sure its enabled and then make sure its enabled in settings.....:D

I don't know exactly why, but I'm returning to n00b VII after tried "CTMod", "CTMod n00b'ed" and "Cyanoid 4.0.1". I really hope MrBobo still updating it.

Must say "CTMod n00b'ed" and "Cyanoid 4.0.1" are both excellent roms, We are lucky guys having developers doing this work of art.

Thanks, I haven't gone anywhere... yet LOL

I plan to support this ROM until a JB or CM10 ROM comes out, your guess is a good as mine about that.

Honestly I can't see a whole lot left to do beyond small tweaks to swap/zram settings and any updates based on kernel breakthroughs that may still come.

I may ditch zRam for swap in a future release, there is a flashable zip here to go back to swap if anyone wants it.

EDIT: 1000 posts!!!! I have been around too long LOL

Ive done the same thing, just something about n00b I guess suits me better :-) I love it

All right! Swap is back! Though I've never had a problem with zRam... Probably because I don't have a lot of apps.

Its not just you, its me too. I posted about it too. You can theme with Ninjamorph and take icons from other roms around that you like though, thats what I've been doing lately.
 
I want to give a BIG HUG and THANKS Mr BobBo! This was as absolute miracle worker for my phone. My phone would restart and freeze 5+ times a day. I would have dropped phones calls everytime a call was made or recieved. I now, no longer have any of those issues. My phone has not restarted or dropped a call since the installation on Dec 29. My only problem seems to be that I cant change my ringtone to a different one. I have tried changing it through the settings or by playing the song on the music player that was installed with the Rom and neither will work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Again!!!!

reboot recovery, clear cache and dalvik cache, reboot.

After that report back and let me know if it's fixed. Others and myself are able to change the ringtone.

I am new to installing ROMS and not sure of how and where to make the corrections. How and where do I clear the cache and the dalvik cache? I can just hit the reboot button at the top, right or do I hit the power button and the volume up button simultaneously? Sorry so many questions. thanks for respponding!!!

with the phone on, press and hold the power button until the shutdown menu comes up, hit recovery. The phone will reboot into recovery mode and then tap wipe and cache, swipe where it says to swipe to clear and then go back and do the same but select dalvik and swipe again to clear that, then hit the back button until you see the reboot option and choose system to reboot.
