Yea i think we all have ran across this and from I no in my area, it was a network issue.......

I can't remember who was asking for the 1.8Ghz OC Glitch kernel but here it is: http://db.tt/YTjq5zA5
I pulled it straight from post #4 in the [Kernel] Glitch Kernel thread by downthemachine. I'm not 100% certain it's the one MrBobo has put into the ROM but it's the V1.4 Beta 1. I also have it saved to my phone if that link doesn't work for ya, just ask and I'll send from mine.

You guys are too kind, glad to be a bridge until cm 10 comes out lol, sounds like it shouldn't be long now

By cm 10 does that mean the cyanogenmod 10 rom? Is that a joke or is someone actively working on this? If it isn't a joke then will it be based off of a newer version of android?

That was me. As it turns out I was looking down the wrong road. Thanks anyways though.

Yes, there is a group of devs who have been working on cyanogen 7, 9, and10 for almost a year now, just yesterday they posted that there was a breakthrough and now things are progressing quickly. I can only guess but I think it's safe to say we are going to see cm10 very soon, at least a beta.

Oh awesome. I thought it was just a joke too. Nice. Very nice.

I got that installed and all, and it looks like it's running okay, but I don't see the SSID on my Surface RT. That's the only wireless device I have at home to check...
Do I need to set up a specific profile? The only thing close on the loooong list of phones is the ZTE Blade.

You should just turn it on and its ready to rock and roll..........:D

Go into the options. There should be settings where you can setup your own SSID, encryption type, etc..etc..

I left the SSID the default, no encryption, auto profile. I just wanted to see if it worked, since I haven't yet found a way to wifi tether this phone on 3 different roms. I like this rom the best, but really want to get tethering up.

It very well could be that my Surface doesn't like the wifi the app provides, but I am betting that it's some kind of combination of settings involving "Device Profile", "Setup Method", "Channel", "Encryption", or other things like that.

Do you just leave everything default?

I don't. I change the method to wpa_supplicant, change the ssid, and set a password.

Mine is doing the same thing...it's pissing me off!
My girl had to go to the ER the other day and she was calling me for an hour straight and no calls or texts came thru.

No the feeling there for awhile all I was getting was just voicemail, you can update your PRL and Profile, after awhile mine straightened out, found out later it was the network in my area causing the issue:confused:

Hi Mr Bobo,

I just wanted to take the time to thank you for all the time and effort youve put into your rom and support for the warp. Your work and everyone elses is the only reason why my warp has not been "Accidently" crushed, burned, flushed or given to my dog as a chew toy over the last year and change. Using your ROM and DTMs kernel actually made the phone fun to use, but at this point its time to move on....Just picked up the GS2 and I am in pure heaven, but again your work saved me for well over a year.

Thank again to you and all the Devs, keep up the amazing work:)

Thanks for actively giving feedback and ideas for improvement, it is a pleasure to work with such a supportive community

It's the network, trust us, we all have had, or still have this problem off and on.:(

interesting conversation guys, good stuff. Yes edit it directly, reboot, the file explorer I included has a good text editor so you should have everything you need, just go to /system/etc/init.d/ and open S03swap and change it how you want it, the size is in xxxxxx so 256mb is 256000 etc.

Swappiness is obvious once you open the file, change it from 0-100, 60 is the stock value.

For a discussion on minfree values do a google search if you want to mess with that.

I have been messing around with the swap values but I have noticed that my changes are not taking effect. For example earlier I used Root Explorer to change the values to 512MB, using the method quoted above. I saved the edits and then deleted the resulting .bak file that is a backup of the original file. Then I went into Terminal Emulator and typed in "free" to see my memory values. It shows my swap total as 255996 which would be the default 256MB value. Any ideas? Anyone else having this same result?

Same here I have rebooted and cleared cache and delvik cache no luck yet.
