this might be a stupid question but im really confused when it comes to this stuff, i downloaded the file (i use winarchiver to open the file) and i have no idea how to "save" it to the sd card i have already tried just extracting it to the sd (didnt click on any file just did and extraction to removable disk e) and i didnt work when i booted it up, the file was shown there but when i clicked on it nothing happened, if there is like some special file or something could you please tell me (please dont give me one file name, make i like android/data/ etc.. that kind of thing) when you said link above i couldnt find any link, sorry but im just really stupid when it comes to this stuff. if you could tell me everything in EXTREME detail, sorry do not want to be a bother just really need help :)

Don't open or extract the file. Just click and drag it over to your SD card with your phone either plugged in or your SD card mounted in your computer.

Ok so I rooted with the noob rom but I Didnt do the cwm recovery what is this for?

The rom comes with cwm recovery pre installed. :D Its for recovery of your phone if something happens, flashing new roms, sound packs, themes, making backups etc. :D

You can test and use it the first time for making a backup of the phone right now ;).

quick question...my phone bugs out whenever connected to a computer, and by that i mean the touch screen jumps all over the place when i touch it. Any idea why it would do that?

And im assuming it only does this when you plug in the usb cord, could be a bad usb cord or a bad usb port on the computer....

well i have tried 2 different usb cords, and all 3 usb ports on my computer, its still wiggy. well thanks for the response, maybe my warp is dieing on me :-(

My only issue is sometimes it doesn't register when I hold on an icon instead it opens the app which made putting things in my homescreen a hassle but it seems it may have worked itself out

That means its getting too much power. Its charging at a higher frequency than it should be. Find a different cord. That should solve your problem.

That is a network issue... It's happened to a number of people, try rebooting the phone, sometimes that forces them through.

Thanks i tried to remeber when was the last time I rebooted my phone. I did it anf it was fixed although i didn't receive the messagea until this morning.

Today I went to download a different copy of noob VIII.II and the download says 101mb. Tried to download from somewhere else and same thing. Has the download been changed or corrupted in some way? The old one that I still have on my computer is 106mb and it works flawlessly. MrBobo can you check the source and compare it to the download link and make sure everything is correct still (would still like to see checksums on the first page of this thread near the downloads by the way (I feel like it would avoid a lot of these problems))?

Where can I get B10 without waiting for Boost? I want to have it running with this version of n00b

Update: Well wait a minute, I dl'd the full n00b VIII.II so I think I already have it. I'll dig a little deeper. The reason I ask is because for some reason everytime I reboot my cache and dalvik is auto dumping so I have to keep resetting everything like my ADW theme and gmail app autorun on web links. Can't figure out what's causing it.

I just downloaded it last night and installed the full version( was running the updated version) and its run better than before so I dont understand why you would ask him to do this. Its very obvious there is nothing wrong with the version he has up now. As far as the copy you have, I would double check and make sure its not the updated version, maybe you have them confused....

Ok I've come back from stock (everyone yell at me now) I still don't like the new Touchpal KB but I can deal with it, what I'm still having trouble with is removing boat browser completely and instead using Dolphin in it's place as I use it across my devices. If anyone could help it would be appreciated and try to dumb it down since the last time I asked I was a bit overwhelmed.

Before un installing Boat, just install Dolphin first. Then after dolphin is installed simply use an app like titanium backup and uninstall boat. If you get the boat fc popup just reboot and it will go away. I use xScope Pro browser and this is the process I use

I'll give it a shot in a bit ...although I don't like titaniums nagging I guess I could install it for just this task and the get rid of it
I have apinstaller EX but that only controls apps I install not ones already installed

Well I dunno know what build it have. Looked into the build.prop but doesn't show it.

I am only asking for an official checksum from the author so that the download can be verified. Not sure why anyone wouldn't want this.

As to the other thing I was saying (the 106mb vs 101mb) it was something that was discussed a couple pages back (two or three I believe). Also, if there was an update then why was there not a version bump (to noob VII.III or something)? I am simply pointing out that we need a way to verify the integrity of the data that's all. Why do you disagree with this?

The size on your Hdd may just be different on the phone because of the different compression ratios of that on the android OS as opposed to Windows....just saying
