Root [Boost Mobile] [ROM] n00b (B10 based) VIII.II FULL Install 1/23/2013

sorry for the quiet month guys, I have been watching things developing out here with the kernel and some other interesting work by others. The ROM is fairly close to where I want it, here are some of the things I am looking at including in VII:

oc kernel defaulted to 1.4ghz
cm7 dark themed phone/dialer/contacts from icon rom (already got permission)
keyboard place indicator image change posted by user in this thread
couple init.d scripts to speed things up
updated systemUI to allow settings to move clock etc (thanks to shin)

more to come probably, but that's the short list right now.

Ok, realy confused about this. The 4000mah batter will not charge over 84% calibrated and everything. If i unplug then plug back in to charger it will finish charging. I seem to be the only 1 experiencing this issue. Could it b the battery or the kernel or some tweaks in the rom. This is my uncles warp with nooob v and he gets realy touchy when i start messin with his phone. Hes pissed he bought this battery. But he needs it. Idk what to do. Literaly have calibrated this batter like 7 or more times in the last week or so.

I wonder what he has in store for us next (I don't think it can get any better with out a real port of ice this is the most complete from for the warp)just saying

Mmk. My mother just told me that since i messed with her phone she can hardly hear any one. She has noob v. Was volume fixed in vi. I was digging and couldnt find anything. I remember reading about low incall volume bt dnt remember where i read it. Was talking to my uncle earlier on her phone and wow, even here in the everglades outside couldnt but barely hear him. Volume is all the way up. Should i upgrade her. Cuz she dont want that. I explained to her bout the titanium backup but she wont have anything to do with it. Im in trouble!

@hopedpocketts there is a volume increase built into downthemachine's OC kernel but I'm not sure about the non-OC kernel though. You can just flash one of the oc's but tune it down to 1200 so she keeps her battery, and plus that would allow for her to stay on n00b v. It's the kernel though for volume increase, not the rom. You can also just add the volume steps in the build prop as a first resort if ya like. Maybe that's the best avenue considering your situation. I deal with the exact same conversation with my mother in law so I can relate lol

Flash the overclock kernel found in post three, noob VI included a non oc kernel with the volume fix too, but that would require a full re-install.

I installed the new kernel for overclock. Thanks all for the input. Told my mom i could take you back to stock. nd she gos. Oh no no no. I like my phone now. Was hillarious now that hee volume is fixed she is happier than ever. Cant figure out why the alarm stays silent mode. But installed alarm droid and it works fine. Reflashed the zip and still nothing. Hope i can jus talk her into noob vi. Bt doubt it. Thanks again yall.

ive done evrything and it keeps saying cant mount /sdcard/ HELP ME PLS!!!!

Are you using TWRP or CWM? Are you trying to mount thru recovery? If you are having the problem in the recovery mount and you're using TWRP you have to flash the jbird data fix. Otherwise flash cwm recovery and mount with that. TWRP has a couple of bugs and that's one of them. Don't panic

im using cwm... when you say "flash" do you mean pressing the power button and volume up key or something completely different... ive even tried testing and formatting the sd card...

Flash = Install from SD card while in recovery. Doesn't matter now since you're using cwm. It sounds to me that since its not mounting in cwm the Rom install went awry at some point. If it were me I'd reinstall (flash) the Rom since you've already reformatted your card. Just do a factory reset in cwm first so it ensures clean data. It should clear both caches when you reset but if it doesn't make sure they're wiped as well prior to the new install. :D

Can somebody help me change the font color of the time in the status bar, color in the date in the notification pane, and the text in the notifications (e.g. for the stuff that you swype to close). I'm trying to make a theme and I just finished photoshopping a ton of images.
