Root [Boost Mobile] [ROM] n00b (B10 based) VIII.II FULL Install 1/23/2013

Mr bobo I was really wondering how you got that miui music player because I really love it and if I test different roms I would like to use it

The rom should not cause that... You don't happen to have a cover over the proximity sensor do you? Of not, you can try rebooting to recovery and doing a wipe cache and advanced wipe dalvik.

It could also be caused if you restored system data or if your sensor has issues...

Try this: make a call to voice mail, hold the phone in front of you and cover the top of the screen, the display should go black, then remove your hand and it should come on. Also is your display sleeping maybe? Not sure if that will happen during a call, but you could try going to settings and display and screen time out then set it to sleep after 2 minutes, the default is 30 seconds

Mr Bobo your always the best. There Is a reason y i haven't tested any other roms since i try n00b. bee with you since n00b IV.
 
I thought I would share this with you. Yesterday morning, I installed n00b VI on the phone, with about 73-74% battery left. Here's my Battery Use, with 29% Left. Running the 1.8Ghz Overclock Kernel from DTM. Granted I do have an extended life battery, BUT this is only about 50% use of that. So, I'm sure similar results (Though different Battery Percentages {Start at 100% [instead of 73-4] end at 5% [instead of 29%]}) With a stock Battery.

Oh, and not 1 single reboot, freeze, or battery pull. Perfect ROM!

n00b rom is more than good, stable, fast, etc, is actually spectacular, a guarantee of quality, the ZTE Lamborghini rom :D:D:D, but this is not a joke, no other words deserve this great job.

NoobV was my first flash on the warp from stock (I stuck with all the freezes and reboots for months). I liked that it was simple and the instructions were very clear upfront with all the list of changes. It has been very stable for me. I've tried others, and I do like them as well. I wish I could build my own and take all the things I like from everyone (thief LOL) and mash it into my own custom ROM. I guess that's how Mr. Bobo started this project...

I'll continue to flash and test for the developers. I want our community to succeed and this is really the only way I think I can help.
 
Wish MB had a Samsung S2 rom, I love what he's done with stuff.

Just an Update, friend is still rocking the rom, and phone has been good, no reboots or lockups, just an occasional lag/slowdown
 
Alright, First Problem I've run into with the n00b rom...I cannot send MMS. When I try to send a pic it delays...and then fails. BUT, I can receive pix. Any suggestions, or should I just reflash the ROM?
 
I can second the MMS issue. I have recieved a few but never tried to send any. Just tested and it just lingers at Sending. Also the Retry send option is missing when a regular SMS fails.
 
Only problems I have is I can't fix permissions without a complete lag lock down and forcing me to re flash the rom. Also sometimes I can't send mms messages either but only on wifi. Shut off wifi and they go right on through without a hitch. Are you guys experiencing the mms issue on wifi, 3g, both?

Interesting. I just reflashed this ROM 3 days ago and I'm having issues with MMS as well. I remember the first time I flashed with the same problem (NoobV). I can't remember if I solved this with fix permissions or reflashing the ROM completely. This time fix permissiosn doesn't seem to work b/c I can't receive or send MMS right now. But I was thinking maybe a network problem b/c 3G goes in and out. However, when 3G is steady it still won't download the mms msgs.

I'm using the kernel that flashed with the ROM. I guess I will try flashing another kernel, if that does't work, full wipe and flash again.

I too at first thought about a network issue, but my wife has boost as well, had her try and it worked perfectly
 
I'm having random issues with the mms pic sending, sometimes it goes right through, then other times it hangs on sending, actually never does send. I thought it was just boost throttling me down, but maybe not. Not a big deal i can use email sometimes for pics. But it's nice to snap a pic in the message app and just send it. I'm using the 1.7ghz kernel.
