I don't get it... jkjk lol... but would the volume mod make it impossible to change volume or would you need to tap the button to change songs and hold to change volume or something?

when the screen is locked the volume buttons will skip tracks, wake the phone and you can adjust volume
 
It would take some time getting used to it but I say go for it... but one more question... would the mod be for one specific app or would it work for all media players?

some third party apps support this out of the gate, this adds compatibility for it to the stock google music player and the google play music app

It's going to take me a while to get this working but i'm going to port it from CM7

Will also work on Notification widgets, but both are deeply implemented
 
I'm fine with or without... just hoping I get to test it tonight... personally I prefer hard keys disabled when screen locked.
 
i think i would rather have the buttons disabled when the screen is of. i know that i would bump them all the time .
 
I use either go locker or Magic locker, wouldn't that interfere with the emergency unlock feature on apps like that?
 
I think you should implement it as an option (toggle in settings or something) because it seems there are some who want it and those who don't care if it's in there or not (I personally would like to have volume control)
 
Lookin forward to it. Theme looks awesome as do all your mods for c. I'm sure it was asked but will this update be based on b08 or b08c? (just wanna be prepared lol)
 
A super stable B08 my OC kernel doesn't seem to take to well with B08c

Anyways list of to do's still

Fix Bluetooth (Wont pair or connect to anything) Might be kernel level
Find out camera wont work without formatting sdcard in CWM

Shinjitsu Rom 1.5.1c test build

I know there will be bugs with it, if it doesn't boot then you will need to format data.

wipe dalvik before install

if camera isn't working reboot recovery and format sdcard it will work fine from then on
 
OK, installation went fine, booted very quickly, looks awesome! Camera wouldn't open, but i had purchased "camera ics+" earlier so opened market updated, and fixed that issue. SuperUser binary out of date and will not update. Phone works fine (though incall volume a bit lower than stock). Google music doesn't recognize my .mp3s as playable, installed playerpro, same response. Bluetooth FC on file transfer.

Dirty, download SuperSU and use that in place of superuser. Also is hroark's non-oc kernel compatible with this latest version?
 
Install over 1.5b, you do not have to clear data just dalvik cache.

If you are not running 1.5b then factory reset/clear data, dalvik cache
Install then format sdcard in CWM

or alternatively download 1.5b install then flash 1.5.1c
 
findings so far:

installed over stock b08 after wiping dalvik only, bootlooped on boot animation

formatted data in cwm, booted up but camera didn't work and wifi connected but no internet

rebooted, wiped cache/dalvik, wifi worked and camera worked, but when I put wifi on and phone screen sleeps I loose phone signal until I turn wifi off

super user binary would not update until I cleared data on the app, then it updated no problem

Overclock hasn't frozen my phone yet which is great, last time I tested the oc hroark put out it froze my phone on shinjitsu every time

love the theming, very detailed and everything looks great so far

EDIT: formatted sd card and rebooted, still get signal loss when connected to wifi and phone screen locks and I open it back up, signal stays disconnected until I turn off wifi.
