Ohhhh so you gona let him get away with it huh? I feel picked on:D

This is a great bunch on this forum. You can joke and have fun with it and there aren't any a**holes like in so many others I see. I just want to say thanks to master shin and all of the participants for being the way y'all are. And yes I'm from the south.

I'm from Kentucky, Its Midwest South something in between lol

Updated the OP with new screen shots, they are hidden by a teaser but just expand it. Its labeled "Some screen shots"

What part if you don't mind me asking. I'm central bama b-ham. My nephew and his family around horse cave.

How would I flash this coming from noob III? Should I flash a nandroid first? You instructions seem to involve two different methods. Do I need to extract the zip to the sd card, or can I just "install zip from sd card" in CWM?

edit: nvm. I got it. I just installed the zip from sd, after a data/cache/dalvik wipe. This rom is fantastic. I can't for it to come out of beta. I have a few questions though.

When i flashed it, it said it was the OC kernel in CWM and the boot animation also said overclock, I'm assuming you just haven't updated those yet, correct?

Also, I'm seeing a lot of black text on grey background in the popup dialogs, have you considered changing it to white?

Is it safe to say that this may be the best from out yet? Thank you so much it runs extremely well! As well for my 3g Turbo charger oh maaaa Gawd its sooooo fast :D

shinru2004,
Something I've noticed...ringers I have like 3 of each ringer in my list when I go to select one from the sound>Phone Ringtone Menu.

Also, how the heck can I add new ringers??? I've tried creating an .ogg file and putting it in with the ringers in the systems folder with Root Explorer and it's not showing up in my list. :( does this mean you've taken away that part of customization? That's a total bummer if you have. Or maybe I am just not doing it right, putting it in the right spot.

You have to follow the system's example very closely to get Android to display the ringers properly:

1: Android doesn't like spaces in filenames. I believe this is the source of the multiple listing behavior you're noticing. Rename them all to something like "this_is_my_new_ringtone.ogg" and they should only show once.

2 ...of course, following rule number one makes for a not-so-pretty title for that ringtone in the system's list. The solution is to use ID3 tagging, which .ogg supports just as well as .mp3 does. Use a tagging program (I like MP3Tag personally, as it lets you easily assign tags en masse, and it's free too :)) to set the tag so that Android shows "This is my New Ringtone" in its list instead of the filename itself.

Note: I haven't tried this on Shin's ROM, I can only speak for the stock version.

Once again Shin pulls through with an amazing update for his ROM. Loving the ICS layout and especially the notification toggles.
One small problem though, the Play Music app will not update saying "Package file was not signed correctly". I'm sure it's probably because you modified it with your own manual themeing which looks great so its not a dealbreaker for me. I just noticed with latest update it gives it more of a ICS feel but now that I think about it, I like your version better. Once again great work.
One more thing I would like to suggest since your mainly basing this off of ICS and I also mentioned this in jetx2x thread for WCS. I read on XDA somewhere (cant remember where) is that there is a way to squeeze those status bar icons together (WiFi, Signal etc.) to give it more of a ICS feel to it. Compared to official ICS they seem so far apart lol. I'm pretty sure its just an XML edit. Just a suggestion though.

Great Ron Shin but did you notice that airplane mode or autotate button on the drop down didn't seem to work nor did the airplane button work in the power off menu

but still great stuff

I also just tested the notification toggles for airplane and auto rotate and also the power menu airplane mode and all are in working order for me

This version is not OC'd, due to stability. Wifi works, Bluetooth SHOULD work (Can't verify that myself....no bluetooth devices....)

I was coming off of Warp Cream ROM....i did factory reset...cleared cache/dalvik...flashed ZIP...rebooted. Then just hung on green android. Waited 15minutes then pulled battery. Restored my backup and phone booted fine. Did i do something wrong?
