Swap

Using a kernel with swap support and either swapper2 or a swap script pointed towards the data partition will give you a kind of buffer from low memory issues

What is it youre trying to do cc?

Swap. My warp only has 376MB of RAM. It restarts A LOT. I'm sick and tired of it. The last version of this ROM was sooo good for me, with little to no restarts, and now I have to clean the Ram ever 20-30 minutes. I need help getting it to swap.

Youre gonna have to swap ROMs until he gets this incorporated in to his. He has modified his ROM so much that new stuff doesnt configure exactly with it. Im sorry for the bad news.

Im not sure if this rom has swap support... i didnt see it in the op.
Well if not you need to flash one of downthemachines kernels first... oc or non oc; your choice. Then you can implement swap support

Beta 3 does not have swap support. You will need to flash the non oc version of downthemachine's glitch kernel. You can find a link to it in the all things root guide sticky at the top of the forums. I believe the newest version has built in swap support so there will be no need for extra apps. Make sure that you use the non oc version. Thus far the oc version will not boot with Beta 3. Hopefully Shin can look into that when time allows. If this fails to work for you or if you get confused pm me and I can help you get it up and running.

OC kernel works fine for me try clearing the dalvik cache when you flash it then reboot. Haven't had an issue out of dtm's kernel. I might however modify his source if he allows me to free up even more ram.

Does the oc/swap new kernel work with this rom?
Edit: Everytime i flash the new kernel, it freeze on glitch kernel oc screen...i wiped data, cache, dalvik cache, and even tried fixing permission. is it a file on the rom that stops this process?

That's the same problem I ran into. Did you wipe cache before or after the kernel flash? I will be doing some more testing with this tonight to see if I can get it up and running. Ran out of time before work today.

Shin I flashed the kernel multiple times last night wiping cache both before and after. I'm not sure what is causing the issue. Going to try going all the way back to stock tonight and work my way through it.

Remove loopy smoothness from init.d and try again. It doesn't like being ran during boot. Before I had init.d set up to run while the rom was loading right after the kernel loaded but with dtm's kernel init.d loads side by side with the kernel. Odds are that's why it won't boot. I had previously removed it from beta 4 which I am running.

Ok removing loopy smoothness works to get the kernel past the boot screen. Also need to remove readahead or the device lags horribly. Shin Beta 3 with Glitch Kernel up and running. If anyone has trouble let me know, I can walk you through the whole process.
