how was your alien abduction experience

Downloaded the Alien Kernal as part of Tigatron's Alien Warp update. This Warp runs so smoothly now! Amazing what you guys did and continue to do with this craptacular phone... Keep up the good work and thank you for all your hard work!!
 
I downloaded the update yesterday and since then the phone froze 3 times, rebooted 2, I had to pull the battery once....It goes into a white grayish screen.....Lockscreen wont move sometimes and the power button wont work at the same time and I have to wait or it reboots......

Right, i found alot of the time those issues can be a bad rom, or even just a bad flash.. i sent him a build with video memory reduced from 8M to 4M, in my testing i found if it is too high the phone will act up. but i had a team test for nearly a week before release and none of us had any issues.
 
Ok I never had problems wit my camera until I zipped this kernel idk if that was the problem or what but my camera was working fine yesterday plz help my camera is laggy as hell

which camera app? stock? or?

i think i know the issue.

I believe the 8M video Memory may be causing the issue.
i have a Build with it set to 4M and everything seems fine...

From now on, anyone experiencing this kind of issue, please tell me what Rom, Camera App, Symtoms, and when they started..e.g after flashing 2.0
 
Stock cam works fine but cymera app laggy ass hell but stock cams sucks but if any thing I just see if I can get another cam app really don't feel like starting all over again lol
 
I'm thinking that since many devs include CPU/vm tweaks in their roms via init.d there could be some conflict with yours in sysctl.conf

Edit..lol never mind. Just checked it and saw swappiness was all that's there. Must've been the rom or an earlier version of the kernel that had those tweaks.
 
I flashed ur kernel on the simple rom and it took away my root. So I then flashed the superuser.zip and now its working back to normal. Good so far with thia kernel.

i will integrate a fix into the next package i release.

You are right. I just don't know why it would wipe root for some people.

I am also working on a gaming edition of the alien kernel. Major enhancements to CPU scheduling. Memory management. Governors. And net scheduler
 
The next version will have supersu. I ran into the same thing when testing the kernel. Supersu seems a little faster when giving permissions anyway.

Also does anyone else battery drain so quickly? Because I went to sleep and the phone was 49% charged and by the morning the phone had no charge. I didn't make it to the gym no damn alarm.

That sounds like a good feature set to include in the main version too, not just the gaming edition :-)
 
Im using my rom, Essentials.Legacy soon to hit the market, but my rom is stock, no tweaks just themes and good apps....and I tried the new one u gave me and the same issue, especially when I play games like Coin Dozer or Subway Surfer also when I go into ES File explorer I get this issue sometimes, but not all the time so I went back to the beta and everything is smooth again, so whatever changes u made out of the beta messes with my warp.

giving this a go, I don't see any mention of the flashlight fix or in call volume increase, are either of those included?

DTM upped the in-call volume in his kernel and the flashlight fix (ramdisk edit) is on the thread by smartmanvartan

Okay. Your warp doesn't play well with the increased video memory. Ill make a special build just for you lol

Flashlight has been fixed since 1.2 lol.
As for the call volume.. ill do that

Not sure on the call volume. Ive never noticed any increase on dtm's kernels for call volume even on one he sent me that was supposed to be louider than the ones that are out.

But the flashlight works. I edited that for dm.
