Sorry if I sound Nooby, or if this kernel is even supported anymore, but I was wondering if this works with AOKP (Android 4.1.2), because whenever i try it I get stuck on the Alien Screen.

The JB roms, and now CyanMobile all come with a new,improved kernel.

Actually Cyanmobile runs this exact kernel. JB runs this kernel with some JB updates

No, it the same kernel in the JB roms, Lower, low end, higher, high end. More governors, io schedulers.
