I like it if you could get rid of the boost mobile logos. I like this Rom very much and I all ready theme it some myself, I changed the dialer numbers with some I made in PS. I wanna change the dialer that opens when you enter your voice mail code also. I love the transparent pulled down screen, I always change that too and replace it with the angry droid. I changed the lock screen buttons too with my own.

I am working on removing the boost logo and it will removed by the official release tomorrow... I have also switched the call screen to the custom one that I made a while back... and I am now in the process of theming the call log a little (changing font colors and sizes to resemble the ics version a little more)

I've done everything you described/suggested more than once. Moved ringtone to system/media/audio/ringtones. Nothing. Made sure permissions on file matched rest of system ringtones. Nothing. Tried it through contacts. Nothing. No matter what I do I can't get a ringtone which I've used in the past on stock, to apply with this ROM. Which I'm really kind of bummed about cause other than that I absolutely love this ROM! Phone is faster, better UI, battery life improved, you name it- its better. Maybe someone can fix?
Like cartersball, I'm not having any problems setting mp3 ringtones. I have a folder on my sd card called ringtones (/sdcard/ringtones)and whatever mp3 file I drop in there, it shows up on the list when I go to settings->sound->phone ringtone. In the past I had a problem similar to yours on a stock ROM. I don't remember what, if anything, I did to correct it. Eventually it started working properly. I know this doesn't help solve the problem, but it might point to something amiss on your phone instead of the ROM.

Have you dropped back and punted, so to speak? I have different weird problems occur when I first started using WCS and I eventually went back and reflashed everything from the beginning. I do mean the beginning because I went to apollostar2109's stock rom site and flashed the stock 08Bc ROM. From there I carefully followed the WCS installation instructions remembering to clear Dalvik & cache before flashing every time. I also made sure I restarted normally after each flash. I listed the procedure I followed along with the links in another reply earlier in this post. It was reply #317 and I don't know how to make a link to it or I would. I suggest you follow that and let us know how it performs afterwards. I know this isn't a slick, elegant solution but I'm pretty sure it will help your problem. Be sure to have good backups.

Starting to have issues with this rom locking up or starting all on it's own. Also stiil have problems with TB not working right, doing the same thing locking up and having to force stop it. It won't restall all of my apps, gets to the 2nd or 3rd app and stops. I have to force close it and go in to the play store to get my apps back. I also can't get my keyboard to work on this rom at all. Keeps using the ICS keyboard which I don't like at all to small of buttons. In fact while I sit here typing this it just restarted all on it's own. And is stuck in boot loop. Had to pull battery to restart it.

I've fixed all the issues you have just described... if you want you can help test the next version later on today... or you can just hang tight until the official release tommorow

For how long has it been running on your phone?

I'd be happy to try the rom out for you a test subject. I have had it on my phone for the weekend.

Thank you for keeping us informed. You do what you can do and I, for one, appreciate it. I'll keep playing with 1.0.1b until you have 1.5 ready. Thanks. :)

Thanks for all the info. I haven't had to resort to starting from scratch..... yet. Weirdly somehow after installing another ringtone setting app (Android Ringtone picker) I can manually assign ringtones to individual contacts. So at least thats an improvement. I still can not use some of those same ringtones as the default ringer but I'll deal with it :)

It's good news to hear you were able to recover the use of some of your ringtones. Have you booted into CWM recovery and run "fix permissions"? Just a thought that it might clear up the problem and I wonder if it would. If you try it, please let us know if it helped or not.

jetx2x is going to release a new version soon. It's doesn't take but about five minutes to flash and boot once into the stock 08c ROM from apollostar2109. From there you flash the new release and you stand a much, much better chance of success the first time you try. Although I am not familiar with the exact way a new ROM integrates with the phone, it seems clear from my experience that it makes a difference from which ROM you start as some ROM's are designed to flash over B08 and some over B08c. jetx2x's WCS ROM is supposed to flash over B08c so making sure that is the beginning platform is sensible. When I first flashed WCS I did not follow my own advice and flashed over whatever I had on the phone at the time. I was having similar, puzzling phenomenon and I messed around with it to try to get it to run properly until I decided to drop back and punt. I flashed the stock B08c ROM and the WCS and haven't had weird things happening since. I hope this insight helps. :)tk

I have a question. How can I get live wallpapers with the ROM?
I have some live wallpaper apps that I would like to use, but I don't have the utility to install it. So, just wondering if you could just include it or if you could give me some instructions on how to get them on.

And so is 1.5 being released tonight or tomorrow? I'll test the ROM if you want.

While you are waiting on 1.5, you can move the two live wallpaper .apk files from the stock apps that jetx2x posted (http://db.tt/aljRmvot) to the /system/app folder and change the permissions to rw-r--r-- then reboot. You'll have live wallpaper ability. It worked for me. Hope this helps.

Hi, I'm new to the whole changing permission things. This is my first time rooting, but I love it. So how do I change the permissions. I used ASTRO to try to move those files to /system/app folder, but it wouldn't save to it because it said it wasn't allowed. And yes, I'm rooted, and I have WCS

You cange permissoins by booting into CWM Recovery mode. Choose "advanced" from the first menu and the "fix permissions" from that menu. Restart normally and that's it.

As for the files, use an app like Root Explorer to cut and paste system files.

Well if it works right his ROM will be a step closer to 100 percent themed

Yeah...I also have a copy of a stock ics rom that zte released... I was thinking about using the stock ics files to remodel our gingerbread ones... and I don't mean just swapping out files... I mean giving them a complete makeover and altering the layout
