For all of you who are fairly new to this, I'm going through the install process and creating a document to post with the instructions on how I got it working. I'll probably have it finished about the time jetx2x has the new flashable version ready but I hope a good procedure here can take some pressure off jetx2x to rush. We certainly want him to keep up the great work he's done. It will take me some time to do this but I'll post it as soon as I have something workable.I don't know how to do that! I'm new to all this.
Well, here it goes. I just followed these steps to install from scratch. For all of you who are fairly new to this, I'm going through the install process and creating a document to post with the instructions on how I got it working. I used the browser.apk from the stock apps that you had posted and copied it to my sdcard/download folder. From there into the /system/app folder and changed permissions to rw-r--r--. It FC's now. I bet I need to do something else that's easy but I just don't know what it is. Can anyone help me? Thanks.
I decided to install the newly released version of Firefox Mobile. I couldn't find anything that looked like a lib file and I don't know the structure of the way apps are designed so I was going to just redo the nandroid backup to bring it back. I know what I did wrong...I failed to rename the browser.apk file before I copied over it. A rookie mistake... I appreciate the suggestions and help. I'm learning as I go.I would assume the lib files are out of place with win-rar or whatever move the lib files into the lib folder then fix permissions and it should work

Look a few posts up and you will see the step-by-step instructions you need. If you still have questions, be specific about what the problem is. It's post #605.please if you could leave a little more detailed step by step I would appreciate ...thanks...Cyn :O)
I'm following each of the instructions. It's still not working.
Jet, or Hawg, you need to fix this. I keep getting MD5 mismatch and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Lemme remind you, I'm following all your instructions. but whatever. I'm just gonna keep trying and trying.
Give him a chance to download the nandroid backup because that's what he needs to do to get it running. I think he's still using the first download with the missing file.I am going to remove the link until I can create a proper flashable zip... I didn't think you all would have this much trouble

Download the files fresh when you follow the instructions posted above so you get the most recent files.I'm following each of the instructions. It's still not working.

COOL! Fantastic. Unexpectedly quick. Thanks for sticking with it. I'm sure you'll get some good feedback soon.OK so here's the deal... I have successfully created a working flashable and I am now uploading it for testing... eta is 30mins... I have also found that you can only change the keyboard with wifi disabled... after wifi is enabled you cannot change the keyboard until you disable the wifi and reboot

You are clever! Thank you for figuring out what to do for the keyboard. I now have my Swype Beta keyboard and am very happy. I did what you said. I disabled wifi, restarted and then installed Swype Beta over 3G network and it enabled fine. To get wifi back I just enabled it in settings and restarted the phone. Wifi works and so does Swype. Thank you. PS: I did it on the installation I had done earlier from the nandroid backup.OK so here's the deal...
