just to inform you all... my experience today after installing and restoring and installing and restoring and finally installig the update for the last time since like it was missing check mark on the option of unknown sources after that looks like eveythring finally it's running normally and I havent't had any error msgs so and crossing my fingers bc it looks so nice and neat the rom... thanks once again!

I don't know how to do that! I'm new to all this.
For all of you who are fairly new to this, I'm going through the install process and creating a document to post with the instructions on how I got it working. I'll probably have it finished about the time jetx2x has the new flashable version ready but I hope a good procedure here can take some pressure off jetx2x to rush. We certainly want him to keep up the great work he's done. It will take me some time to do this but I'll post it as soon as I have something workable.

Well, here it goes. I just followed these steps to install from scratch.

* Prepare by downloading the files listed below to your computer.

* Then unzip the nandroid backup and you'll get a folder by the name of 2012-

07-02.23.15.07 that you put in the /clockworkmod/backup folder on the SD card

in your phone.

* Rename the 19-0B08C no rec root.zip file to StockB08c.zip so it's easier to

find. Copy it to the root folder of your SD Card.

* Make sure you have a good backup of your data and, I suggest, a nandroid of

your working system. If you don't have one of those, make one now. Put these

backups on your computer.

* Make sure there's a full charge on your battery.

* Start phone in CWM recovery mode.

* Wipe Dalvik, cache partition, and delete data in CWM.

* Using the "install zip from sd card->choose zip.." command, flash the stock

rom from hroark from the link on apollostar2109's site. Here's the link to the

dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/s/my479jmm25rc06e/19-0B08C%20no%20rec%20root.zip. This step is important in that it makes sure your

phone is in a known state when you start the installation of WCS 1.5. The possibility of

unknown errors creeping into the mix is reduced by flashing to this stock rom.

I'm going to keep it in case I ever have to send the phone back for service. :)

* Wipe Dalvik and wipe cache partition and fix permissions. This may not be

necessary but it doesn't hurt and reduces the possibility of something amiss

later.

* Restart phone normally. It may take a few moments to start. I think I saw

R2D2 but it might have been a dalek as I just caught a glimpse of it. You

don't need to do anything in stock rom except to go to the next step and...

* Restart in Recovery. You will need to use the volume up + power to get into

recovery after flashing the stock rom

* restore the nandroid backup from jetx2x's OP here: http://db.tt/uk9kEWKChttp://androidforums.com/warp-all-t...ich-rom-v1-5-open-beta-released-july-3rd.html It's the one

you put in this folder on the SD card: /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/. It takes several

moments to restore.

* Wipe Dalvik, cache partition, user data and fix permissions again.

* Restart phone normally.

* Enter your account info in settings.

* Set Wifi for your network and restart phone normally to make sure Wifi works.

Try restarting a second time if it doesn't take the first restart. If you have

your account info entered then the wifi status fan will likely turn blue but if

it doesn't, take heart and check the Internet with the Dolphin browser. You

might find you have internet but the fan is gray. It turns blue when it can

communicate with Google's servers, otherwise it stays gray. There is a known bug when trying to change keyboards. It should be fixed in the next release.

I think this takes care of the basic installation. Questions??? Let us know.

:)

I used the browser.apk from the stock apps that you had posted and copied it to my sdcard/download folder. From there into the /system/app folder and changed permissions to rw-r--r--. It FC's now. I bet I need to do something else that's easy but I just don't know what it is. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

I would assume the lib files are out of place with win-rar or whatever move the lib files into the lib folder then fix permissions and it should work

I decided to install the newly released version of Firefox Mobile. I couldn't find anything that looked like a lib file and I don't know the structure of the way apps are designed so I was going to just redo the nandroid backup to bring it back. I know what I did wrong...I failed to rename the browser.apk file before I copied over it. A rookie mistake... I appreciate the suggestions and help. I'm learning as I go. :)

Edit: Instead of re-doing the entire nandroid backup I decided to run an advanced restore to restore just the system. It worked fine as I was able to move the browser app file into /system/app, change the permissions and restart so it would show up in the app drawer. From the app drawer I dragged it to my home screen and it's working fine. I also moved the stock calculator and it works fine also.

Glad to hear

please if you could leave a little more detailed step by step I would appreciate ...thanks...Cyn :O)
Look a few posts up and you will see the step-by-step instructions you need. If you still have questions, be specific about what the problem is. It's post #605.

I'm following each of the instructions. It's still not working.
Jet, or Hawg, you need to fix this. I keep getting MD5 mismatch and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Lemme remind you, I'm following all your instructions. but whatever. I'm just gonna keep trying and trying.

I am going to remove the link until I can create a proper flashable zip... I didn't think you all would have this much trouble

Give him a chance to download the nandroid backup because that's what he needs to do to get it running. I think he's still using the first download with the missing file.

Download the files fresh when you follow the instructions posted above so you get the most recent files.

OK so here's the deal guys... I have removed the link to 1.5 and it will NOT be put back up until I have successfully created a working flashable zip... Do not ask for help getting the nandroid to work because you will not receive any... I am 17 and only one person and I am working my hardest to get this rom up and running correctly and I refuse to be pressured.... the zip will be posted as soon as I figure out what is going on... I am not a genius and I am still learning so please bear with me

OK so here's the deal... I have successfully created a working flashable and I am now uploading it for testing... eta is 30mins... I have also found that you can only change the keyboard with wifi disabled... after wifi is enabled you cannot change the keyboard until you disable the wifi and reboot

COOL! Fantastic. Unexpectedly quick. Thanks for sticking with it. I'm sure you'll get some good feedback soon. :)

You are clever! Thank you for figuring out what to do for the keyboard. I now have my Swype Beta keyboard and am very happy. :) I did what you said. I disabled wifi, restarted and then installed Swype Beta over 3G network and it enabled fine. To get wifi back I just enabled it in settings and restarted the phone. Wifi works and so does Swype. Thank you. :) PS: I did it on the installation I had done earlier from the nandroid backup.

I really wanna thanks for this rom... mine has been working fine without any problems since yesterday.. wifi, gps, 3g all working.
I'm trying to update the Mi file manager but don't know besides that I'm so happy!

Here is what I did, step-by-step.
* Downloaded zip from here: http://db.tt/uk9kEWKC
* Copied zip to root directory of sd card.
* Flashed zip
* Wiped cache, data, & dalvik. Also fixed permissions.
* Restarted phone. (It took a while to load so be patient.)
* Enabled keyboard by launching the messaging app and long pressing an entry field.
* Enabled Wifi
* Restarted phone normally
* Entered account data to check wifi
* All is well.

Very good job with the zip installation. Thanks.
