Root [Boost Mobile] Warp Cream Sandwich Rom [Discontinued]

Should this rom move away from Ice Cream Sandwich and Towards Jelly Bean?

Does anyone else have 2 lock screens? I have 2 on mine for some reason. I did an up date for the lock screen and now I have 2 of them. I have to unlock my screen twice. The first one slides the next one is the one with the lock on the right and the camera on the left. This is the one I wanna keep. I wanna get rid of the sliding lock.

Try disabling and re-enabling the Holo Locker. That should do the trick. You may have to do that whenever your phone reboots as well.

It sounds like you just need to disable Holo Locker. If you want just Holo Locker, try clearing data it's in Settings>Manage Apps.
 
Yeah, or disable/re-enable it. I would do both. Just to be safe. That's how I solved it, anyway. Or you could use TB and remove it. But its all up to you.
 
Im having a problem when im updating through the ota when it gets to the reboot screen with the lil green android uploading the files the loading bar stops mid way and just reboots it says im still on version 1.6.1 any help?
 
The loading bar is a glitch and isnt accurate... try unchecking clear cache before you press install... I made sure I tested it on myself before I told you guys that it was up and it worked fine on mine... and if it still doesnt work then you can go to the file named OTA_Updater on your sdcard and install it manually from there

There's a bunch of them, and I already have them. I would honestly appreciate it if, you actually didn't add them, because I would have to delete all of mine, and I already have the ICS sounds. There's a link to them, and I'm sure that everyone knows how to add ICS sounds if they want them. If you can flash a rom, you can definitely do the ICS sounds.

Very cool way of distributing your updates. It ran without a glitch. Thank you very much for keeping the end user in mind as you develop your rom. :) Keep it simple. :)
 
I didn't even know there was an OTA. Thanks.

I didn't notice it was on 1.6.2

I'm going to hear what dubstep sounds like coming from the new audio thing Jet placed in this rom. Hope it's somewhat as loud as my ipod.
 
The xloud audio drivers have been in place for some time now... the audio from the speaker is still crap... I wonder if its possible to integrate the tweaks that dsp manager and volume+ make directly into the rom

Yeah i know... but with volume+ I made the volume way louder... it was distorted a lil bit but it was worth it... and for some reason it only worked on certain apps

I've noticed the same thing about it. In particular, I can't find anything to increase the volume I get from Netflix. My granddaughter loves to watch some of the children's shows with me during her sister's nap time. I think she can hear it okay, but I have a lot of trouble. With apps like the MX Player I get a great increase and even have to lower it sometimes to avoid the distortion to which you refer. It wasn't until I removed the piece of black tape that was covering the speaker hole in the cover that I was able to realize enough volume increase to satisfy me. Still, there's only so much one can do with the cruddy speaker ZTE stuck us with. I believe you have hit a good combination for controlling volume and quality within the limits of this phone.

Well, my playlist is down to Tom Petty, Steppenwolf, Eagles, Steve Vai, Guns & Roses, and my favorite by the Charlie Daniels Band, "Long Haired Country Boy". Best of all, I can hear them now.

Thank you, again, jet, for listening to the end users and giving us the best for this phone. This couldn't be done with the stock carrier and I'm thankful we have such talent like you and apollo and yankee, mrbobo, prinny, and so many others who are willingly giving their time to help folks like me. And, they do it for free. Thanks guys and gals.

I can conclude dubstep is louder with the ipod, not that there's anything wrong with it, it sounds way better than it once did. Thanks Jet ^__^.
 
Well the locker problem is back Jet. I am gonna try to reinstall the newest version of your rom to see if that fixes it. I have no other locker installed so I don't know why it's acting up and making me unlock twice.

Oh, and I have been having problems of my phone freezing up and having to remove the battery every so often not a lot but it does happen.
 
Hey jet, just a suggestion, maybe use a custom kernel. This would help with less lag and snappier responses. Maybe down the machine kernel?

It does but i just let it be it always comes back on for me, too many things to do to get my case off, dont have the time for that. Lol but its only once a day.

I've had the double lock screen problem on each ROM I've tried that uses it. I think the problem lies in the app, not the ROM. To test that theory, I've loaded Holo Locker on the HTC Incredible I own. If it fails there, I'll report it back here so we'll know for sure that it's the app and not the rom. If it doesn't fail then we'll know that it's possible there is something in the ROM that's causing Holo to "loose it's place", so-to-speak. I think I'll also put it on my Galaxy Tab 10.1 WiFi 16GB that I have.

I decided to disable it until they release Holo Locker, version 2. I'm not sure what functionality it gives that's not in the one that comes with the ROM. Whatever it is, I don't use it so disabling it doesn't bother me.

I've also had one lockup on this ROM. It happened when I tried to use Zello. It has not happened again. I am not concerned because random lockups is the behavior my Warp has exhibited since I got it.

Edit: note post below, #1149, where I checked the Play Store and saw many are reporting the double lock screens so it's definitely the app and not the ROM.

Im using his kernel as we speak... he is trying to add my custom boot image but absm didnt work properly and the colors were kind of inverted... I may just send out another ota with the one im using that has a working pic and then send another update later when we get mine working

I just looked at the reviews of Holo Locker on the Play Store and there is no doubt that the application is the cause of the problem. In the first few posts there are LG Optimus, Samsung Galaxy Note, Samsung Galaxy W, Galaxy S, LG Optimus 2X, HTC G2, HTC Thunderbolt, and many more listed. Take a look online to see how many are reporting the same problem. :D:smokingsomb::D
