Root [Boost Mobile] Working ROMS/MODS/KERNELS/MODEMS/ECT for the Boost S3

I saw that on xda. Still waiting for someone, or a few someones, to do it successfully first. :)

That would be smart.

As for me, I like being Knox free... I doubt it even matters anymore my warranty should be pretty much over but still something in me just does not want to conform to having a hard Knox life!

I've put my phones on the line many times in the past testing ROMs and kernels. Not this time. It's somebody else's turn. LOL :D

At this point I don't really care. Other than the stock rom there's nothing out that requires the new firmware. When that changes I'll try. In the meantime, with the release of m6 snapshot for our phone, I really want to try porting the newest MIUI. Just have to find a guide on how to do so. :)

I think I'm going to start saving for a nexus 5 and once I'm there in savings I'll put my phone on the line more and more. My sister and nephew have the N5 and I love their phone. Plus being a Google phone I stand less chance of getting screwed by shit like Knox. I can't stand sense so won't be going that route again. The one sv was my last HTC phone. Lol.

The SV ran great for me. It just wouldn't pick a signal worth a crap where I live. My Marquee was getting 2 or 3 bars and the SV couldn't even hold a signal.

Where they really messed up with the SV was when they partitioned it differently than the other sister phones.

It did have great sound through headphones w/ Beats though. Definitely gotta give it that.

As for my next device, it's gonna be awhile. The wife says she's tired of me spending money on a new phone every 6 months to a year. LOL. Happy wife, happy life. :D:thumbup:

I didn't mind the sv hardware wise. Was a great little phone. My problem, and the reason I jumped ship for the s3, is development. It still has no roms. I go look now and then. Glad I left Lol. It will be quite awhile before I get a new phone but planning on eventually getting the nexus 5.

Yep. The sister phones have a few ROMs. The Boost version kinda got left out in the cold because it's partitioned differently than the others.

Development was looking promising when I left the Boost SV section. Sad to hear that development has stalled.

Feel that same way lol I've been a tester since day one usually the early adopter but I'm not ready for that knox life lol so I'll just wait it out maybe someone else that already has knox could do it and mention how it went, but I really don't recommend putting anyone's device on the line I know I'll be super pissed if I brick my s3

I would recommend to anyone running a stock android rom to use the comadose tweak it's great my phone is really snappy especially on top of liquid smooth

I'm actually really satisfied with LS right now. Been the most stable and snappy AOSP rom I've used on this phone. Once it settles down and the quirks get worked out, it's really quite nice.
I'm a real simple person with simple wants and so far this rom has everything I could possibly want. It has a halo feature I've tried, I just never find a use for it personally. There are other features I don't use as well but it's fine, I just leave them disabled and they are there in case I do want to ever use them.

Most the other AOSP style roms always seem to have a glitch somewhere with just the base stuff, so this is really nice to FINALLY have a actual rom that works and don't have to keep fussing with.

Give AOKP a try.

I'm like you. I like to keep it simple. If I want something there's usually a mod for it.

Right now I'm running AOKP with Comadose, Xposed Framework and the dkp kernel. I'm very happy with it. From what you've just said, it may be a good match for you.

Did you put comadose in on the first page because that combined with liquid smooth or aokp is extremely snappy

Yeah I'm running liquid smooth now and it's nice but occasionally i get a ui crash but not with aokp it's just simple and works minimal features but you get everything you need

Yeah I've always liked vanilla android over sense and TW and to finally find a working rom with little to no issues, I'm kinda in hog heaven.
Only using one xposed mod right now and that's the gingerbread gps symbol. The new one didn't blink when searching for a lock, so I use the old style. If the new one blinked or gave some indication it was looking before a solid lock, I'd use it. I was using wanam mod but no need to now, this rom covers everything for me aside from the gps mod.

Hmmm. I think I did. If not it definitely needs to be added to this thread and as an option. I'll add it in the LS and AOKP threads too. Thanks. :)

Hey brother, if your happy with what you're running then stick with it. I don't blame you one bit.

I'm only using 2 Xposed mods right now. Greenify is the main one. :)

I'm never happy. I flash roms all the time just to fill space in my day lol. I need to sign on to test roms Haha.

LMAO!! I hear ya bro. That's usually what I do when I get bored. I've got my eye on a few ROMs right now that Struckn has told me about. I know me and it's only a matter of time before I start flashing again. As a matter of fact, I'm thinking about flashing a few tonight to see what they've been doing with their nightlies. It was also brought to my attention that CyanogenMod has dropped another Snapshot build. I've had good luck with their Snapshots so I'll probably end up giving it a try.

Oh yeah. Meant to get back to you after I flashed the m6 snapshot but I haven't actually gotten to it yet lol.

Does anyone out there enjoy MIUI? I can't get data working on the newest few builds and was wondering if anyone else has had any luck?

Ahhhh. .. Finally... I just got my first survey, made a buck. only had to answer one question! Cool! They just need to come a little more often

I answered my 1st question 2 days ago. Just like you, it was one question and I made a buck. Easy $$ buddy. :D:D:D

Did you'll hear that boost is going to stop shrinkage the one thing that sets it apart from other prepaid carriers
https://m.facebook.com/boostmobile/photos/a.71971823341.78676.7292863341/10152086999168342/?type=1&source=46&refid=17

The people who already have it are grandfatherd in so it won't affect us we're just going to get throttled to death at 2.5 gb that's our cap but people who are new to boost don't get shrinkage. I'm sure at some point there going to eliminate shrinkage period. The plans will be 40 unlimited everything except now it's all about data so that's half a gig 500mb then 50 for 2.5gb and 60 for 5gb so new customers if you keep getting throttled to 2g because you used so much data and decide to change to let's say 50 it doesn't shrink your stuck. I'm really considering other prepaid carriers boost is really messing up their service isn't good enough to pull this now they aren't standing out anymore they're just matching everyone else and they're going to loose because everyone else's service is better because I pay 40 now for the crappie spotty service I get and extremely lackluster selection of phones we can choose from. If I change I would pay 50 2.5gb cap also and go with aio wireless that runs on at&t gsm network and is now getting bought by cricket so that's even more coverage between the bandwidth they have and AT&Ts. Plus you can bring whatever unlocked phone you want they use Sim cards or you could buy their phones
