I'm keeping my DX at least until October, but I really hope this pans out. I will however be looking at an HTC from Sprint then. The lady and I are sick of VZW's prices, but that's another story for another thread.

Greatest thing since sliced bread...plus, Motorola's C & D doesn't really mean jack when the courts already said we're free to do what we please on our phones.

That was my question throughout this thread. People take it as fact that a S&D letter was sent but all we know is that a person or persons came on and CLAIMED that they came up with the cracking algorithm and then got the letter from Moto. I'd like to see that it's real but I'm happy with what I have nonetheless. I"ll just continue to watch for entertainment purposes.

motorola probably wants to release that legal crap in order to satisfy any deal they have with the crooked carriers; truth be told they probably want you to mess with the phone and use it as it brings more interest in their product.

I've seen no evidence of legal action by Motorola, only a claim that there was. The keys are now posted at a couple reputable, high profile sites. Still no C&D notices there yet.

It hasn't been "cracked" yet... There are concepts that could potentially crack it if people put it to the right use. We're still waiting to hear if this is in fact true and possible.

well i have been reading in their IRC chat log, and so far they are all saying its false, its "nenelods way or trolling" im not sure, i quit paying attention to them after a while, because they got on the subject of hard drives.... but lets hope that this is for real, and not some scam.

I believe it is real, and the people that are saying it's fake just don't think it's possible. I've done some research on the subject (unsigned keys) and it looks like it's certainly possible.`
Doubt it. No one has any sbf's for the devour, and there's no dev's that care about it. Doubt anyone will do any work for it.
damn. i know there are a few that has to be working on this. I wish they would work on it, but thanks.
it'd be awesome if a dev would work on this, they could make the devour a lot better if they would work on it.
