Noob here, rooted my phone with revolutionary then tried to bring it back to stock, had an error while flashing the stock rom and now phone will not boot up. I can get it to go into the boot screen but there are no boot options to chose from it just says "ruu". See pictures below. Any hope?

I don't know how to help you partner, but don't give up on it yet, someone in here might have an idea to help you out!

Im fairly sure there is a way out of that with the computer but not 100% sure on how. Hang in here and there are some great people that will come up with something.

Can you put a ruu on your SD root and then try getting into hboot? I've honestly never heard of this issue before

That is what i was thinking but the pics dont even show the h boot serch. I wonder if he ran the ruu from the computer but i think the phone needs to boot for that.

thanks for the replies. I only get that boot screen with "ruu" when I turn the phone on and plug a usb cable in. Holding down (or up) the volume button while holding power does nothing but brings the black screen with the triangles on. There is no option for recover or anything from the white screen.

Since you still have S-off try to install a recovery. Lets see if you can do anything with it.

Welcome to the forums!!! :) :D

See if your hboot will flash a recovery file, found here:
PC36IMG_RA_2.3.zip

If that doesn't do anything, try running a ruu from hboot, found here:
Free File Hosting, Online Storage &amp File Upload with FileServe

Rename the recovery file to exactly PC36IMG no .zip because windows hides extensions. Place it on the root of the SD and boot into hboot (power and volume down). Your hboot should scan for the file and ask you to update. If it does we have a chance, if not we'll try the RUU.

Rename the RUU file the same as above and try to install the same as above. If not we'll have to get you a RUU that runs from the PC.

what happened is that you flashed the stock rom which also has a stock recovery. but the thing is you do not have access to the stock recovery. so i would follow what granite said to get you a custom recovery. also are you trying to get unrooted? or you just want to go back to stock? if you want a stock rom then once you get a custom recovery, then you can just flash a stock rom. but if you want to unroot then you need to use the http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...ooting-dummies-guide-gingerbread-edition.html and go to the unrooting section.

I tried to install both files Granite posted, but when I boot up the phone the hboot doesn't preform a search, it just goes to the white screen I posted. I guess I'm going to have to try it from the computer. How do I go about doing that? Thanks.

well from your situation not sure that you can even try it on a computer. do you have a link to the stock rom you tried to flash? also what was the error that you mentioned in the op? what did it say. i just looked at your picture and now i'm confused. i have never seen a hboot like that.
