Root Bricked phone with rom manager while installing backside rom, please help

I installed rom manager to try and change the restore service. But it didn't do it's job properly then the phone would lock up when I tried to enter the restore mode. I tried to install backside anyways through the rom manager app on the phone. But The phone has been stuck on the screen that says: before flashing, always backup for about 30 minutes. What do I do from here?

Thanks guys,
Mike

First, no matter how you fix it, remove ROM Manager once you are booted back up.

Can you boot into recovery? In case you don't know how: power off, then hold home_key+down_volume+power till the LG logo disappears.

If yes: Read the stickies and pay attention to how to setup ADB.
Use ADB to push a proper recovery for the Optimus V,
Then use ADB to remount system,
Then use ADB shell to flash a new recovery.
Reboot into the new recovery, and flash the ROM zip file.
--If it still doesn't work, the ROM zip file got corrupted during file transfer, re-download, ADB push to sdcard, and flash it with recovery.

If no, you cannot boot into recovery: Once you see the bootanimation begin, you should be able to use ADB and follow the same steps mentioned above, but you may need to be quick about it, since the phone could be freezing during boot up. If it does, try to push during one boot-up, pull the battery, then ADB shell flash_image during the next boot-up.

Hey,

recovery doesn't work, I was trying it with the vol up button but tried it with the vol down button and it just does the same thing, a black screen displayed for hours on end.

How do I use ADB? I'm openeing it but the window keeps closing after about 2 seconds!!!

Go to your ADB/platform-tools folder. Hold the shift key, Right click and choose 'open command window here'. Then you can use adb commands in the window.

I haven't used my V in months and there may be a better way to do it now, but look in the stickies for instructions on using Droid@screen. It will let you see your phones screen.

I owe you one
I didn't use droidscreen, but android screencast and it allowed me to do a factory recovery from the menu. When the phone rebooted backside was working!!!! I'll update if I get any more problems but it all seems to be working right now

Thanks!
