Root Bricked rooted phone???

Ok so i had my phone rooted useing the htc dev methoed. It has been rooted for a little bit now and havent run into any problems till a few min ago...

I downloaded a game off of the google play store and now when my phone locks and when i restart my phone (by way of pulling the battey) all that happens is I get a nice view of my wall paper and the status bar at the top of the screen. I tried to even reset my phone to factory settings and the boot loader wont let me, as in it wont even give me the option.

can any one help me?

Can you boot into recovery and wipe cache and dalvik cache?

never downloaded a recovery because i didn't do anything special with my phone just wanted it rooted to use the wifi capabilities. in retrospect...not such a great idea.

Go back to this guide..
http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...-rooting-gingerbread-2-3-5-dummies-guide.html
Click on "show" of the htcdev method, then skip that method, obviously, the go to step 2," how to install recovery"
After that then step 3 if your current rom is not rooted but as ocn said, what rom are you on? (I just rhymed :) )

Edit: wait a minute...how did you flash mikG without a recovery?

you are right now that i think about it i have been through the recovery on my phone before but for some reason now when i go through the boot loader i don't have the option to recover anything. the only options i have are ...reboot, reboot boot loader, and power down. it used to send me to another screen where all the magic happened.

Hmmmm. That's odd. At this point what happens when you reboot? Is there an option for fastboot?

boot loader menu is:

fastboot
recovery
clear storagge
simlock
hboot usb
nice! Click on recovery man!;) :)

so three questions then...

1) can i recover from this?

2) is this covered under sprint warranty?

3) should i just wait till monday when i can upgrade?

that is what i thought, and you are correct.
o.k...stand by and I will print some instructions how to install a recovery via bootloader...mean while, do you still have your android folder with the 3 files in it created when you unlocked via htc dev method?
If not, go to the guide I linked and click on the htcdev method....create a folder on your desktop and download and move the first 3 files into that folder...the files are
adb.exe
fastboot.exe
AdbWinApi.dll

heres the link again for ya

ha..brain fart...I need not print any instructions because ocn did in his guide I linked....go to step 2--how to install recovery...and use the adb method....
