The comment was non-offensive and was just suggesting, in a non-threatening sarcastic way, that he should do a search. I both offered him solid advice for further questions and answered the question on hand (which you seem to be ignoring). I think you are the only one who took offense to that comment, it was hardly meant to be offensive...

People need to know that they can't just keep asking questions without doing a little research themselves; it will go a long way for them in the end.

Suggesting how to make use of the search facility is good... suggesting that someone didn't bother isn't. Before hitting the "submit" button, maybe look at the OP's join date/post count and think, "how would I take this reply in their shoes?" Remember, we want to encourage, not discourage. ;)
 
I also have the FC issue when trying to assign a custom icon to the app launcher. All other icons I can change just fine using FolderOrganizer.

I updated last night to version 0.6.2 and it completely wiped my whole setup (all my widgets, icons, etc) and I was back to just a fresh install of LauncherPro. Anyone else have this happen?

I too was having the FC issue when trying to change the icons to custom icons. Someone recommended a fix for it. Download the 2.1 gallery apk and use that gallery to navigate to the icons you want to use. I tried it and it definitely works.

I still go back and forth between ADW and LP. Each time one adds a feature it seems like the other updates to add the same thing the next day so they really aren't all that different at this point (i.e. each one just introduced the scrolling dock bar at the bottom within the last few days).

The main visual difference I see is that LP has the 3D app drawer while ADW has the transparent app drawer (where you see your wallpaper through the drawer), right now I'm liking the transparency so I'm using ADW...but Im sure I'll be switching back and forth for some time.
 
Can you back up different set ups by chance? Kinda like "scenes?" I want a home and work one.
 
Quick question. Im getting a little annoyed at the fact that when I unlock the phone by swiping down, the app drawer scrolls to the left or right and the default LP icons are moved away. I then have to scroll them back to get them into place.

I saw a setting in LP (think it was Dock Settings) to do away with the infinite scroll but this did not help. Any thoughts on this one guys? Workarounds?

This is a bug that will hopefully be addressed soon. Happens to me too.

Thanks for your post man. At least I know its not something messed up with my phone. Hope they address the issue. Im still messing around with LP. The only thing I miss so far are the HTC widgets like turning on Wifi, Bluetooth and GPS.

You can use the stock Power Control widget to do this and more
 
Why can I not find any decent 3g toggle widgets? Beautiful widgets, Power Control and Dazzle don't have one and I've been searching all morning. I do a lot of switching between wi-fi and 3g so this is critical for me. Anyone have one that works in LP?

Help me find some widgets...

Where is the Google Calendar widget?
Where is the favorite people widget?
Where is a widget to turn on/off the 3g mobile?

Extended Controls should work for you. I'm using it and it works great (it's not free though - $.79 cents euro). It lets you control/toggle the following and has several different sizes and colors:

Sync (direct)
Rotate
Airplane
MediaScanner
Silent/Vibration
Timeout
StayAwake
Torch
USB
AlwaysOn
AutoLock

HTC widgets dont work with LP

Pure Grid Calendar -$2
Pure Messenger - $2
Dazzle - free

They're better anyway.
