I'm usually a TPU case guy because I think it adds just enough protection without adding too much bulk (and I'm scared of dropping a $500 piece of technology).

But, I love the feel of a naked device.

And while I know that cases are big-business, I'm wondering how many people actually use them.

I do love the feel of some devices (my One X in particular) and I am very careful with them, but I'd rather have a case and not need one, than the opposite.

It depends on the device.

My old evo 3d, the way the camera sticks out made it feel too weird in which I always kept it wrapped in a commuter.

My gs2, never had it wrapped and liked the way it felt, not slippery.

My gs3 (current) have it wrapped in a defender since I unboxed it, simply too slippery to not have it wrapped up, very easy to drop.

I wish it wasn't so I could actually show off its beautiful design.

I have TPU cases for both my and my wife's phones. I used a white TPU case on mine but it stains too easily.

wrap it up B! I like to case my phones (current is SG2), even when I didn't have a smartphone I like to have it in a case or at least a holder. I always have a clipped holder so i can put it on my belt or pocket, I hate having my phone in my pocket.

Always case mine. I have a Otterbox case and was soooo happy I did when I dropped my phone on the sidewalk last year and panic set in, the phone was fine but my nerves were not lol

My first Android, an HTC Hero, lives in a TPU case. The others are all cossetted in Case-Mate 'Barely There' cases though, as they offer the best protection:bulk ration for my needs.

p.s. contemplating a 'Tough' (or similar) for the Xperia Z as it's already weatherproof-enough to go backpacking with me. :)

I use cases, always. I've been alternating between my pink and white Otterbox Defender and my glittery Case Mate case. I prefer the Otterbox case because of the protection, but i love the look of the Case Mate case.

I use to love my otterbox defender but damn near impossible to keep the screen protector clean on the inside especially with dirt and dust getting inside.

Retired it for a tpu case that came with my extended battery.

Yeah. I agree. The screen protector is a bitch to clean. Plus it gets these air bubble type marks and it drives me crazy! I love that Case Mate case but so much is exposed and its as slippery as the phone itself. I use it when I'm going out and i *know* I'll be sitting down most of the time so the chances of dropping it are less.

Since I ordered my zero lemon battery/tpu case, my defender has been sitting in its box fir nearly the past week.

It's a great case, but just the screen protector turned me off.

It depends on the device. I have a Motorola case/holster for my Razr. I just prefer an external clip to in a pocket. It doesn't add much size to the phone, but does need a seperate screen protection.
On a completely different track, I use my Note 10 with nothing but a screen protector. I do have a small travel pouch that I use when taking it out of the house....still actually use it nekkid.

N7 in a Gel case
WFS in a 'leather' flip case
Xperia U usually in a belt 'holster', or in a 'leather' case when I don't wear a belt.

I love the feel of the device (especially a well-built phone), but I can't go without a case and screen protector. It's a no-brainer after you compare a phone that has been always with a screen protector + case to one that has been completely "naked" after 6 months.

I don't have a case for my device at the moment. I'll need to get one as it's slick and I've been close to dropping it before. I like the feel, but would rather not drop it.
