Root [CDMA] Get ready for OTA's!

Thanks for the ota zip. I will make you a back up for sure. However, this is my girlfriends device and she is now all giddy exploring lollipop so it'll be a little but.

I'll make a backup. [emoji1] First some questions though, do you prefer or need a certain recovery? Also, I've signed in to my account and download apps already. Would you prefer that I factory reset it and then make the backup?
It should not matter which custom recovery. I use cwm swipe. All I need is the system.ext4.tar.a and the boot.img from the backup so your installed apps do not matter at all :)

Well that's good to hear, since I used philz recovery lol. It is backing up as we speak! Thanks for the answers though.

Flashed via stock recovery from 'sd card'. Install went smooth. Had to disable bug2go and batterytracer apps right away because of lag. after getting rid of them its running buttery smooth with no hitches so far.

Oops. Haven't been using this in a while. But how did you manage to use the stock recovery? It doesn't work for me.

I flash backed to the default 4.4.4 boost install before starting. original recovery and all. This is where you should be if you have never rooted/changed roms. If you have, you need to go back to stock.

downloaded the file in this thread to the root of the sdcard directory and used the method here to get into recovery and choose the file to flash.

Everything went fine.

Do you know where I can get the 4.4.4 zip? I apparently have 4.4.4, but the install aborted because I have the footprint of 4.4.2.

Yea, I noticed the lag too. I'm going to have try disabling them and see if I get the same results as you.

"/system/bin/install-recovery.sh" has unexpected contents.

What do I do?

not yet itslels. I'm trying to let everything settle on stock lollipop with root. No apps that are requiring root. So I can see if there is a significant battery change first.

Whats it doing to you?

I had the same issue and that build did not work for myself, I still get the "/system/etc/install-recovery.sh" has unexpected contents error.
Maybe you can try formatting the system partition through a custom recovery, then flashing the stock 4.4.4 rom and try it from there? It's all I could really think of at the moment... :) Oh and for whoever is looking for a way to root the rom, use this: http://download.chainfire.eu/695/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.45.zip?retrieve_file=1

Oh, I tried formatting the system partition. Same error happened. I'm just gonna be waiting for Seraph08 to make something. Or SuperR or lost101. Whichever comes first, I suppose?
