Hey Bear & Dan Suppose to freeze here tonight in Ks. I may run to the cabin and fire up the heat to protect it over night. Desperately trying to not shut it down until after Thanksgiving. It's a great time to have turkey dinner in the woods. It's especially a good time not to have frozen water pipes.

I left the cold roughly 20 years ago. Haven't looked back since. I absolutely hate the cold! Give me sunshine and beaches all day long. (Not saying those who enjoy the cold are wrong, it's simply just not for me.)

I enjoy the cold crisp air but in Kansas it's usually hitting you in the face at 40 mph. We perhaps have three beautiful winter days a season. The rest of the winter is dismal and bitter. I can't blame you for leaving it behind.

Yesterday Morning I had to scrape my windows with a Credit card to get all the ICE off, That's right ... ICE in Sunny California

Happy Festivus to the restofus.
When do we start the airing of grievances? I am ALL in on that, oh and also looking forward to the feats of strength. Now everyone gather round the Festivus pole.

Christmas music (and I'm including carols in that category) is almost as bad as country music.

I'm glad some people are able to draw some joy from it, but I do wish every retailer (and restaurant - which is a much larger problem for me) would stop assaulting my ears.

As a kid the best thing about carolling was you could busk around shopping malls and supermarkets, and make quite a bit of pocket money out of it. On Christmas Eve a bunch of us used to go around all the local pubs with our brass instruments, and play a few. People were tanked up and more inclined to give generously. We did very well. :)
