Class Action Suit for 2.0

im curious what kind of effect it would have.. if we made a petition and then rounded up every bh2 we could and get them to sign it.. then send it to the BBB

The Reps wont do anything for you... You will have to walk into a TMO store and talk to one of there Android Reps ( & Make Friends ) with Knowledge of android & all the Hardware.. From there either show off the BH2 with a Custom Rom & Talk about Rooting while looking around for the Manager so they don't get introuble.. Next you will need to tell them how Crappy the BH2 is & it's not getting the 2.1 release like you was Promised... Do not at any time Make it out to be TMO fault & place full blame on Samsung ( TMO Love it when you DO )

From there ask if any of the store rep has the Slide, Play with it... Get to know it & Let them Know this is your Next Phone & you want on the Waiting List for it when it Comes Out... That the Best Advice I can Give you... I have a few Friends at my TMO store is only Reason I know Mine will be there on day of Release... They want to get it into a Dev.'s hands as well :)

Official New's from my Buddy at TMO
June 2nd Release Date & $179.99 with 2 yrs Contract!!

Yeah there was a women in there with the slide, she said she liked it, I asked to try it out...she denied though. Damn her. It looked pretty long though and not too skinny =/

Well, wasn't Sure it would work... But Like I said, mine our Friends of mine.. So Not sure if this is why or not..

Sorry it didn't go So well....

Btw, 1.6 is the Latest there going to Update this Rom, not 1.5 , nor 2.+...
1.6 Update for this Summer & then where Done for!!

the bbb is a joke. it wont affect them because you have to pay the bbb to have a good rating (which samsux does) so a few disgruntled consumers won't make anyone blink an eye

Just curious... Where's the Samsung advertisement that promised 2.1?

problem is.. as far as i can tell none.. however.. i never saw an advertisement.. for atleast 3-4 months after the phone came out... however when i bought my phone.. the tmo sales rep... said yes it would be updated to 2.1... which to me is just as good as samsung saying they were going to update it to 2.1...the reps need to know before they sell a phone what is ACTUALLY going to happen with the future of a phone.. up to atleast a year

Managed to cut my losses today and parted with my Behold II. I already bought a Cliq, but I'm also on the Even More Plus plan which thankfully doesn't lock me into the two year agreement for my Cliq. I have yet the chance to actually physically hold the MyTouch slide, but the more I see it, the more interesting it looks. It's a hard choice though as I like the keyboard on the Cliq, and seeing the image of 2.1 on Tmonews for the Cliq brings me hope.

Personally, I feel that the Cliq is pretty much the best "cupcake" phone for what it's worth. Once 2.1 is pushed out with MotoBlur, I am curious on how it will hold up to newer devices shipping with 2.1.

Tmobile has a "no lemon" policy and you can use this to get out of this horrible situation.

Basically if you are still under warranty and have to exchange your phone 3 times in 3 months they will swap out your handset for a new MODEL.

Best part is they do not actually check to see if the phones you send in are defective so you can just make up stuff. Today was my second swap and I told them that twlauncher was forcing closed repeatedly.

One more complaint and its bye bye Behold 2.

I actaully used this clause to get out from another Samsung device (highlight) into the behold 2. My choices were the Behold 2, Blackberry Tour, or a Sidekick.

I wish I had taken the Blackberry Tour.

I filed a complaint against Samsung today with the BBB. We'll see if it gets anywhere.

i was just thinking, i have an Even More Plus plan which i upgraded to recently, since this thing has no ETF, couldn't i just cancel this contract, sell my behold then buy a mytouch slide? or would there be a fee because i just recently switched to it?

I got mine on ebay with a $200 reserve just in case someone gets stupid enough to buy it.
That $200 is going to pay my termination fee.

Talked to a guy in T-mobile's PDA support tonight very candidly and he told me that all android phones would receive an update to 2.X sans the G1 due to memory restraints. He told me that T-mobile and Samsung work together on the firmware updates so its as much their fault as Samsung's if we don't have 2.X and I do beleave what he told me because it wasn't the usual "its up to samsung" excuse.

Behold 2 will or won't get that update? My fingers are tired of typing! I have been tweeting, facebooking, and blogging my experience with the Behold 2 EVERYWHERE!.....

He told me that all android phones would receive an update to 2.X which I am iffy about believing him there but i do believe him when he says any update done on my phone is a partnership between tmobile and samsung so if this phone is stuck on 1.5 I am demanding an upgrade or jumping ship to a CMDA carrier.

Yeah, me too, bud, I find it hard to believe any of them now, but thanks for the update! I kinda get like a pit bull about stuff like this, I can't let go until I get some straight answer from these guys and none of them seem to want to talk. Eventually I will figure out how to get the truth, but haven't quite figured out how. They make it to where you can't actually talk to a person.

That's from phones-online.net, not Samsung.... They're an online retailer which carries a number of phones (Android and otherwise)

(This was also brought up on T-Mo's forums, with the same results)

They claim "When 2.0 arrives..."

2.0 was out before the Behold II, and is/was/will always be exlusive to the Motorola Droid.

It's hardly an accurate advertisement.

Not to burst your bubble, but this video begins and ends with the Samsung copyrighted logo, implying that they are an official Samsung representative. There is no disclaimer stating otherwise. So, the inference is that it is Samsung authorized. As such, it makes Samsung somewhat culpable. You cannot use that logo without express permission or, you stand to face a lawsuit for copyright infringement or worse.

Therefore, it is well within our rights to approach Samsung on the basis of this publicly broadcast video and its contents.

Just got this from Twitter:
@SamsungMobileUS Samsung Mobile is paying much attention to your comments on Behold II. we are working diligently to provide you more info shortly.

Not gonna say this is 100% positive as BH_MAN said it could just be their "Courtesy Update" (i.e. here's 1.6 now go buy a Galaxy S)
