Root Clockwork Mod Recovery

I'm guessing that's a yes. So can I go ahead and do that? Or are you planning on making a new thread or something?

Too late. I already did it and it works! :D Only problem is that rebooting into CWM from Rom Manager doesn't work for me. It just reboots the device and ends up at a black screen where I have to take out the battery to get it to boot again. Using the All-in-one tool on the other hand works though.

Wait how exactly am I supposed to do this? I want to be able to boot into recovery from ROM Manager. How would I be able to flash CWM Touch Recovery and still be able to boot into it from Rom Manager?

are you using the one click to install? if so that is teh version built by me with the latest stuff, however the version on rom manager is built by koush using my files and may work better

Oh okay. I didn't realize it made it to ROM Manager (shows how much I know). I'll give it a shot. Thanks!

reboot to recovery option in RM works fine for me ;)

i wont be making an easy flasher just for the fact that koush likes the only way it is easy for people is to buy it (its a dollar per phone, so if you ever change phones need to buy it again). so you can either do it manually, modify my script to, or buy it from rom manager

Would you be able to explain to us how to flash it? Or give us a link to a tutorial? Because I have absolutely no idea how to flash it. Or do we have to find that out how to flash it ourselves?

make no mistake the only one who gets money from buying cwm touch is koush.

I meant it as in for everyone. I would love to donate to a handful of developers. Could you please help me in flashing the touch recovery? I'm not 100% sure on how to do it and I don't want to risk bricking my device.

You don't have to modify the script at all. Just download the img, rename it to cwmrecovery, and replace the current one in this package. I recommend paying for it though, these people deserve it :)

Well then me or my phone is doing something wrong. I don't think I've done anything different than anyone else on here.

need the phone to get the needed info n files ;)

Yes i know. I want to make a fully free app so that new people who get a phone, or firmware update can submit their info, I was thinking, partition list, device list, apk list and info, startup scripts, modules, prop files, hardware info, default props while device is on. Then post them all to a database so you guys can download stuff or read device files and for example click 2 firmware revisions and see differences easily or compare to other phones.. Then users can help you out quite a bit just by getting a new phone.

oh i know exactly what to do :P what im saying however is i dont wish to do that to koush seeing as he was nice enough to make the recovery official.

Do you have any options available for contributions?

the link in my sig has any info you need for anything i do :)

i tested the new version of cwm and it backs up with no problems. only thing is now i dont see any progress going on. it just goes backing up system to backing up data etc. there is nothing movving on the screen?

is anyone else having issues with using either Rom Manager or Quick Reboot to boot into recovery, my phone reboots but then shows a android install like screen and then it just boots normally into the phone, I then have to go into rom manager, install CWM and then install Touch and then I can hit reboot into recovery and it will boot into recover, I do what I want to do, reboot back into the phone but if I was to go to rom manager or quick reboot and try to go into recovery it goes to back to like being broken and I have to re-install again just to get back into CWM?

How are you guys liking the touch CWM? I'm just starting to get comfortable with having a fully working CWM, and seeing some people having a lil trouble with the touch version. Can I get a lil feedback?

I don't think I've ever had to reinstall CWM because of a reboot. Have you tried rebooting into recovery after the "install screen" before you reinstall CWM?

Its great. I haven't had any problems with the touch version. It took me a while to realize that I have to scroll down when I'm accessing something with a long list though since the options are spaced alot more now :p
