hi

this rom is not really ready for everyday useage, it is still under development

however you can use it however you wish, and can report problems as you like

for gapps, you can use one of these packages

Goo.im Downloads - Browsing pa_gapps-modular-mini-4.4.2

Forgive my ignorance, but is this work at all applicable to the ZTE Vital/Supreme? I know it's a different processor family. What would it take to transfer any if this work over to the Vital/Supreme?

No it doesn't but I plan on making a thread/build similar to this for the 8960's. It'll go with the ZTE Force and other 8960's

Nothing yet that I know of.....i was playing around last night and figured out that if you to enable bluetooth audio output it will output via the phone's earpiece for ZTE AWE. If you route audio to speaker the mic will work. I gotta figure out what goes where and change things around.

What happened to good old days when you could plug in headphones and actual wires or circuits connected them to where the sound was made.

I own a Z930L, and was curious if your zip file is signed to work via the "install update from SD" feature in the stock bootloader?

If not, I am going to have trouble helping, as I have spent days trying to push exploits to this phone, and just cannot seem to get rooted.

I even coded my own update.zip containing the su binary, but it's failing the verification.

some things about this rom:
headphones will not work... (zte worked some kind of magic to get that done, but the audio was hard enough to get in the first place)
cdma data/calls/anything will not work (awe,warp4g,max) due to missing ril
camera wont work due to missing libs

i was thinking of pulling some libs from Galaxy Victory on Virgin Mobile to fix RIL for data/calls and camera (because the camera may be the same sensor as ours as its 5mp on a krait device)

Warp Lte has 8mp camera...
What is the possibility of pulling ril (data/radio) files from a previous CM with working data/radio?

no it is not

is there a forum for the z930l on AF ?

has anyone made Clock Work Mod for it yet ?

Aww man! I'll keep trying for root privileges so I can test your rom.

This phone has no forum on AF or elsewhere. I have been stalking some threads but nothing as promising as yours.

There doesn't appear to be a cwm build yet either; and if there were there's still no way to get su... But I'm still working on it

Try framaroot?

Yep, it was "half successful" but the phone won't let me create a local.prop file. Despite that, framaroot was the most promising simplified one click method.

I've also tried many other simplified root methods, and then turned to raw adb shell commands and manually pushing exploits.

I sometimes end up with a partial root at first but try to rerun the app a cpl more times before checking root access. It works for me, might help

Thanks, I'll try that. Here's hoping!

Edit: No dice. I tried:

adb shell
echo \"ro.kernel.qemu=1\" > /data/local.prop

Which yields: permission denied

Other methods tried:
1. booting the phone into ZTE "safe mode" and repeating the steps.
2. Installing framaroot on the phone's internal 2gb SD.

Thanks for helping, though. Looks like it's back to trying to fabricate a ZTE signed update zip

try this

adb reboot bootloader

and tell me if it boots you into the boot loader, it will probably just be a black screen

if it does

download this CWM

DONT INSTALL IT

z740_cwm_tch

just unzipp it

try

fastboot boot z740_cwm_tch.img

let me know what happens

Unfortunately, adb reboot bootloader simply reboots and bypasses the bootloader. I am able to boot into the bootloader by holding Vol+ and power, but it ignores fastboot.

Yes, I've got a windows 8.1, and a windows XP/Ubuntu Linux laptop.

I'll check out root master, but I believe it's the same program as vroot, which turned out to be Chinese IMEI stealing software.

I have also tried Kingo root and could not get it to recognize the device. Never the less, I'll see if root master will work. At the very least we may be able to extract the goodies from it to make a "safe" root alternative if it does come through.

Edit: I had the feeling it was the same program as vroot. XDA took all links to it down:

so on your phone

vol up plus power is bootloader and vol down plus power is recovery ?
