Is it just the camera that doesn't work? I actually don't use it much and i would like cm11 so I can use hotspot, is everything good besides the camera, or are there other small bugs as well?

Is this kernel compatible with 4.2.1 JB, if so I want to know if its possible to make a zip that can flash only the kernel and the files containing the open gl 3? Because that would make the Warp 4g's "stock from" run smoother and better in my opinion (it'd be a substitute for this beast build for now)

no

I basically had to make this kernel becuase the stock kernel does not support the newer adreno, and ION and stuff like that, and the stock kernel wont boot CM11, unless you use a bunch of CM legacy repos and stuff

so this kernel I made would not work with the gpu, and media libraries that are in the stock rom, probably would not even boot the stock rom at all

i am pretty sure the warp 4g lte is 4.1.2 by the way not 4.2.1

i may be wrong

Thank you guys for all your help! I did what you guys said and it worked. The WIFI and everything. It took me a while to find the right GAPPS, but I eventually found them. It is now fully functional. Going to start testing on it right away. :)

Well not exactly, I'm all up and down in firmwares because I work with every type of "I" device. Like last week I installed whited00r on a 3g which runs 3.something and I change/uninstall files from the device to either increase speed or open up more device storage.

I am very eager to help get development on this particular handset... Maybe a little too eager, as I made contact with you in my spare time when I don't even have Internet!

hey

Got some bad news for you, you not going to be able to root or do any development on this phone

first it has a locked boot loader, so the kernel and recovery need to be signed with ZTE's private key

second the system partition is write protected, so even if you get a root shell, you can not re-mount the system partition as rw

here is an expoit that will give you temp root access in adb shell, you will be able to do some stuff like make backups of your partitions and stuff, but since you can not remount system, you will not be able to install permanent root files

930l.tar

unzip this file

adb push device.db /data/local/tmp
adb push run_root_shell /data/local/tmp

adb shell

$chmod 777 /data/local/tmp/run_root_shell
$/data/local/tmp/run_root_shell

you should now have a # prompt with root access

ZTE really locked this phone down, so you may want to contact them and see if they will tell you how to unlock the bootloader

Never say never
Since the device is krait we can port loki
its quite possible. Ima need some partitions though
Boot, recovery, and aboot

the abooot has been patched against LOKI

if you look at the aboot with a hex editor you will see

the part that says overlap with aboot address means it has been patched against loki according to this

https://github.com/djrbliss/loki/issues/44

but I will upload the files for you anyway

just so you know i have looked into this pretty thoroughly

and my opinion is the only chance he has is to get ZTE to release a method to unlock boot loader

but ZTE will not do that for him, he is not ZTE customer, he is Straight Talks customer, and only Straight Talk can request a unlock for the Boot Loader

I have also tried installing the bootloader partitions from an Identical ZTE device (Blade Apex) and ended up bricking the phone

So it is my opinion that he can only get a bootloader unlock from Straight Talk

Of course there are probably other methods to work round the security, but I do not have the knowledge to find them, and I doubt that anyone who does, would spend there time on a ZTE Phone for a no contract provider, the guys that are really good at this type of stuff prefer to work with Higher End phones like the S4, S3, etc, etc.

I don't want to sound like a Debbie Downer, I am just giving my opinion.

I would suggest anyone who is into deving and modding their phone, to not buy a ZTE Unico

so what are the major bugs using cm11 on the radiant?? ive flashed my galaxy express onto cm11 and my brother really likes it so he wants me to try it on his radiant but will it be ok for everyday use at this point?

Were you able to get your awe working with build 2, or the current 3a?

I've been modifying linux for as long as I can remember, have 8 yrs in cdma IT and radio engineering.

So I hope *fingers crossed* if I can duplicate your fully functional rom installation I want to give it a shot at getting the cdma radio working on these puppies. I have 9 Awe's to test with, so no problems there. I think I might have some ideas nobody has tried yet, or maybe I'll have a stroke of dumb luck. Either way I have about a week of 100% free time, then it's back to work.

I've been a HUGE fan of you guys and the folks at xda for a LONG TIME!

i have the radiant running your cm11 test, overall great ROM, same basic issues headphones don't do anything, and the camera app doesn't work. if you keep making ROMS i will definitely test them.

hroark13, I saw the post you did awhile back on porting this CM11 to the Hera (ZTE Source.) As I didn't see anything here or there, I wanted to know if you ever got anyone to test in on the Hera, and if so, is it functional?

I dont think anyone has, but it should work
