Root Cm7 1.1

I have both ES file explorer and Astro but sometimes it is well worth purchasing the proper app to get the job done. I don't think the free ones that I am aware of work.
 
Indeed..

So much so that it replaced the shortcut for my search button softkey.

It does give you so much control you can get yourself into trouble.. something I think everyone who's used it has found out at one time or another..
 
If you want to change your boot ani and don't want to purchase root explorer just past the zip in data/local

You don't need super user access to do that, son any file explorer works, and it overrides the other path

Wanted to make sure of this since I do have bluetooth problems and I am using cm7 and from what I see people are having bluetooth problems with cm7.
I will go back to imoseyon 3.5.8 and see if I have problems.
Seem so strange confused if its kernel related or rom related for bluetooth .
Wasn't sure which one controls it and would repsoncible for problems.

On 1.6, seem to be having trouble with messages sending in Handscent....gonna update..

is there a new gapps at all?
 
RC 1.8 is now available. Not sure if bluetooth is fixed, and supposedly Imo's kernel will cause a splash screen hang. I am going to flash it to check out the new lockscreen.

Edit: Supposedly only a2dp does not work with bluetooth. My 2007 car is too old--it does not have streaming--so I cannot test. I will let you know in a couple of hours if hands free works.

Edit: lol. if you have been running DT or Liquid don't forget gapps like I did.

Edit (again): The CM website now uses 8/28 as the official gapps.
 
Wow lots of stuff going on today. Too many different forums and then plus irc. We have rootz, xda, team *flavor of the week*, 3 diff irc channels, .. and then there's here! Sanity, calm, peace and quiet, civil discussion. Don't let the word get out.

Yep, I flashed Imo's lean 3.7 kernel because I was curious and I've been staring at my splash screen for the past 5 minutes now.

If you want streaming without a2dp then try the app BTmono IIRC it allows streaming on any BT device

I doubt it will work with my car, but i guess I can try. I don't have a bluetooth headset (since I live in 2011, not 2001) and don't have bluetooth headphones (I would like to get some at some point).
 
Information: Do not flash an Imo kernel with a lower release number than 3.7.1. The 3.7 and earlier kernels will cause a bootloop. Supposedly the OMFGB kernel has the same (and I assume therefore that Kang Bang does as well). Tiamat 1.3.1 is reported as working.

Also, anykernel formats are reported as working, so I would imaging that eclipse works ok since it always uses anykernel, but I have not heard for positive.

I on the fence about that. Worm knows IMO so hopefully he can get those strings pulled, I have wanted to try out tiamat's new kernel with smartass V2 on it for a while but have been too lazy to flash it so I may try it out.
