Root CM7 Nightlies

From what I gather, nightlies build no matter what. RC1 will be a purposeful release although it's not here yet. I flashed 38 in prep.

You probably have the "hide notification bar" option checked in ADW or Launcher Pro, whichever you are using. Since you didn't do a full wipe, your settings were retained.

With the issues you are having, it's time to do a full clear and then flash the ROM. So, launch your recovery and;

-wipe data (factory reset)
-wipe cache
-(advanced) wipe dalvik
-flash ROM
-flash GAPPS
-reboot

Make sure you backup anything that you need, because this will give you a truly clean slate.

I had the feeling it might be something that was obvious to someone else. Ugh. I've been involved in IT and programming for the last 11 years and this stuff still throws me for a loop at times. Thanks and I'll let you know how it goes as soon as I get a chance to try it.

Got things up and running last night. Thanks for the heads up Medion.

The nightlys continue as bug fixing continues... And the rc is released seprate and they should be rolling out soon ahhhh I cant wait

Does anyone have the link to the battery percentage mods? I'm pretty sure his username was mattyg or something. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Running RC. I was wrong, hardware acceleration makes for no lag with launcherpro. Smooth as butter!

Where can I find the RC build? I don't see it on the mirror linked in the first post...

Edit: Nevermind, found it in rom manager.

I can't download the RC until I get home from work tonight. How is it looking? Any notable differences from the nightlies?

couldent tell ya man because i am not going over to the RC just yet

and for the batt mods are being taken over by another user because mattyg dosent have a dinc anymore and from what i see and here at XDA all the mods are not up and running yet so there might not be a like to them yet

Well I downloaded flashed the RC1, and it seems very similar to the nightlies. I dont see anything substantially different. No FC's as of yet, but that could change. I read of a few people having some FC issues and loss of network connectivity, but I have experienced 0 of this. I can't note on the battery life yet but tomorrow I will check my battery stats and give a report.

I flashed over Build 38 without wiping anything. Everything seems to be running smooth, however I am getting awful linpack scores of around 17-18, with the precision result coming up as "inaccurate result" -- I haven't ever seen this before. Quadrant is about normal at around 1200ish. Anyone got any ideas as to why I am getting horrible linpack scores?

EDIT: After a few more minutes of waiting, linpack scores returned to about normal hitting 39's, and the quadrant jumped way up to 1410. Something must have just been running in the background taking up most of the memory.

New opinion: Fastest CM7 release yet, at least for me.

i have never used linpack before so i don't know
is it GingerBread ready yet?

Ya I'm pretty sure it is working fine, media scanner was running in the background, which slowed everything down tremendously. Now the numbers are back to normal, even a little higher than previous nightlies.

humm yeah the first rc build was a bad build and they already knew about the stuff and the rc was updated lastnight... but i am on 39 and things seam good i would love to to see the new invisiblek/ slayher kernel that i am flashing on the side incourporated into the build but i dont know if that would happen
