I feel at home eating Korean food.

If you've never had Korean food, you're missing out on the 2 best meat dishes on the planet:

- 갈비 (Galbi)

- 갈비찜 (Galbi Jjim)

It's far more flavorful than anything American BBQ can dish out. I feel really thankful to have had Galbi dishes as those meat dishes are unlike any other in terms of flavor of the meat.

comfort food?

Culvers butter burger if I'm feeling poor.

Lobster and oysters if I'm feeling rich.

Your guys definition of comfort food is way different than mine. My definition is a lot of heavy food that makes you want to nap. Like mashed potatoes that don't have a lot of milk with some thick gravy and good sized portions of turkey. Especially with Thanksgiving around the corner.

But, by your definition, I would have to say homemade Mac and Cheese. My mom bakes mac and cheese with 4-5 different types of cheese and various forms of pasta. And just slightly burnt on the top to give it some crisp. That's the stuff!

sometimes i need something heavy to make me want to nap and forget about everything else too. but other times, i just like having my favorite dishes to eat, like the food i think my mom makes best. super comforting.

My comfort foods are mashed potatoes with brown gravy, meatloaf, egg and cheese sandwiches, and bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwiches! I am having a B.L.T. tonight, bacon is done, I am waiting on the BF to bring the tomatoes, he better hurry!

time to revive the food thread!!!! although, i was thinking about putting recipes for dishes you would think others would like/enjoy....

mine is sour cream chicken enchilladas. i follow the recipe primarily only for the cooking times. i use more chicken, less tortillas. i like mine super creamy so i use more sour cream and cream of chicken. and more cheese of course :)

That may be rice (the obvious :D) maybe with sugar on it? with plantains (a cookable banana) and cooked plums? It's the dark stuff I am not at all sure of. Does look great though.

It's bistec encebollado con tostones y arroz blanco. In English: Steak marinated oil+vinegar w/ adobo with caramelized onions, fried plantains, and white rice (nothing on it lol)!
