Respectfully disagree on a few points.
To be as thin as a RAZR MAXX and have the same battery, the bezel would be huge, like the Maxx. Give up some thinness and you gain geometry for the camera and a decent speaker.
No evidence yet that quad core kernels are right. Stick with dual core and up the horsepower with the S4 and the 2 GB of ram.
Don't worry about Sprint not marketing it, the forums and the blogosphere will and it will go viral.

Took the measurements of both phones and made a quick comparison in Photoshop.

The builds show they are working on it, that their support isn't "non-existent" and working pretty hard with there being as many leaks as there have been so I think it does show Samsung is supporting their products and trying to fix any issues.

Nice work, td. Very good comparison. I really like that pebble blue a lot.
so it looks like Sammy uses more bezel, but makes use of the black border bar that's part of the screen, while htc does the opposite, using less bezel but making no use of the black bar...interesting...A side view would really help with the photo comparison, but only if it's easy :adore: sorry, I know I totally took a mile...

I'm not 100% positive but those screen images are probably simulated. They look computerized to my eye. So keep in mind they are probably not going to be completely accurate to actual product. I wouldn't draw conclusions quite yet.
I could be wrong too.

anyone know more about the s beam /wifi direct feature and whether or not this is something already found in some devices? will EL TEvo have this capability? does it have to do with NFC? I like what it says it can do, ie transferring large files between devices rather quickly, this is something I would find useful

so NFC will allow us to xfer big files quickly between devices? is WiFi direct something different, or just an aka for NFC capabilities?
The back of EL TEvo is what dissuades me from getting it. That and the color. I'd really prefer a white version. The red kickstand would look nicer then. imo of course.
NFC does small files....Samsung added to it, NFC initiates the process and then Wifi (with both phone on the same network) finishes the rest!
Sauske thanks for the info. seems like bits and pieces of my questions are being answered:thumbup:. So its looking like the new evo will not have the same capabilities as s beam, as android beam/NFC doesn't allow for it??????? this tech is limited to the gs3 for now???
This would seal the deal for me, white EL TEvo: http://cdn.androidcentral.com/sites/androidcentral.com/files/postimages/684/evo-4g-lte-white.jpg
AM2, I believe you asked for this comparison..
