On a side note. AT&T's store is so decked out while poor T-Mobile looks so low budget.

I would have to agree with you as the order of preference. But now Samsung seems to be trying to take the lead. I'm not saying they are in the lead, but they seem to be trying to. I really hope HTC takes note. As far as Motorola, I think they have nothing to prove. Motorola was the first cell phone. They have been doing this from day one. This is why they most likely have the best radio signals. They know what they are doing.
Samsung is a much higher contender for me than I originally anticipated, so I completely understand that. With the potential of having 128gb at my disposal...that's so ideal for my work and personal media files that I need to either download or carry around with me. Storage space is a huge part of my work, so having that amount would do wonders.
I agree about Motorola's experience regarding radio signals. I really just hope they catch up as far as everything else is concerned. I'll say this right now...if they shock everyone and combine the best of both the LTEvo and the SGS 3, there's absolutely no question the MoPhoQ will be my last 1 year gold upgrade. It's really wishful thinking, but I think if Motorola announced a phone that came out of nowhere w/ the best specs and performance, I think it'd be a great way for Google and Motorola to start off with the merger that's likely to be closed by the end of this quarter (e.g. end of June).
I was thinking the same thing about Motorola combinding the best of both phones. That would be a real super phone.
Kinda sad to say, but even if the specs and performance outdid the SGS 3 or the LTEvo, it probably still wouldn't get the publicity and marketing push that it'd need for people to pay attention.
If it had 64gb internal storage, 2-33gb ram, microsd slot, 4.7 inch screen, same battery and thickness as the Razr Maxx, unlocked bootloader from the getgo, quad-core, LTE, SuperAmoled HD display, returning kickstand etc, etc...Unless Sprint and Motorola went out of their way to market it, I just couldn't see it outselling the LTEvo or LTEpic, because Sprint usually invests majority of their marketing towards those superphones.

I won't touch a samsung phone again. I've had the Epic, Nexus S with Sprint and now the Note with AT&T. All three got bad reception, weak wifi reception and GPS that is just about useless. My note even has two GPS radios in it and still sucks.
Samsung sucks people in with the specs and screens. When it comes to everyday use in my experience they are junk. Look in any Samsung thread and you'll see I'm not the only one with these issues. It's a running theme for them across the board.
Yup, I been playing with the One X almost on a daily basis. Lol There's an at&t store on the way back home from work. I just love that screen. After watching constant videos of the GS3, I must say that Touchwiz is just awful. It doesn't look fresh or anything interesting. I'm starting to sway away from the GS3 and leaning more towards the EVO LTE. I may also consider the Nexus again as well lol. Who knows, maybe another phone may POP out of nowhere and throw a monkeywrench to the plans. Its going to be pretty interesting to see what Sprint has in store at CTIA.
Overall, I think the two phones are going to perform rather similarly, so the real issues are the screen and battery. I'm a screen whore and don't have a problem with the permanent battery, so for me it's the EVO.
Oh, and Samsung continually makes some of the most overhyped, underwhelming phones I've ever seen. The radios are terrible, the software is disappointing, and the support is non-existent. I'm curious what Moto comes up with, but for now it's LTEvo all the way.
It's funny you say support is non-existent. The Epic Touch is now on it's 28th leaked build of ICS. Seems like a good amount of support to me. The radios may not be Motorola quality, but I haven't ever had a issue.
28th leaked build? Samsung has been leaking builds of ICS for the Epic Touch 4G?
I was talking about Samsung support, not dev support. Most of the big phones have a reasonable amount of dev support.
I've been to the T-Mobile store last week to see the One S and loved it. Looking to go to the ATT store this weekend to check out the One X. I will say that the One is definitely better in the screen department. I just really want to see both phones together before I make my final decision. It feels good to have some good options.

I don't think the number of leaks is important. What's important is the official update comes out on a timely manner with as few bugs as possible. At least in the US, Samsung in the past has not done a good job. I'm not saying it is all their fault. The carriers might partly be blamed as well. However, others get their updates in a "timely" manner so it can't be all of the carriers' fault. I think Samsung is trying to rectify the situation, but they need to do it a few more rounds so that their bad reputation goes away.
The builds show they are working on it, that their support isn't "non-existent" and working pretty hard with there being as many leaks as there have been so I think it does show Samsung is supporting their products and trying to fix any issues.
All of these issues people seem to experience are basically hit or miss from device-to-device. You find plenty of people who have no issues and plenty who do. I don't really know what significant changes are made from hardware to hardware, but seemingly there must be something.
Took the measurements of both phones and made a quick comparison in Photoshop.
