That error is because your bootloader is unlocked and it needs to be locked to flash the RUU when S-ON.Thanks for the suggestion. My attempt at flashing the RUU has been unsuccessful. Attached are some of the screenshots that might help you in guiding me in the process. The mobile is booting appropriately normally. So, I am not sure whether it is a hardware problem. This is a new Boost Mobile phone. Since flashing the RUU file is specific to Sprint, the problem could be with the flash file. Let me know if you have any other suggestions. I am working on this since last night.
If the phone is working for normal usage you may be better off just staying with what you have for now. I don't think flashing the RUU takes away your Boost flash but I'm not sure and don't want you to make it worse if your phone is currently working.
Maybe someone at Boost is clever enough to have figured out a way to block custom recoveries, but I doubt it.

Now I know... always check the rom download. It seems like I've read about a lot of rom downloads being corrupted in the short time I've been studying up on this.
why is it so difficult just to root my phone can anyone help me and I did got it to load and then it wont rest my phone to the root settings on my phone said some kind of error my phone is working perfectly fine except all the apps and contacts on my phone disappeared any help would be appreciated!!
