Root condemned cm7

I'm going to need a few launcherpro users willing to test something for me... it seems to work pretty well so far for me. Let me know if you're interested and I'll send you a link when the zip is made sometime tonight :)

You know me and Scotty are there fer ya. :D

I didn't realize you guys used launcher pro lol. I found a thread I forgot about until a couple of hours ago and have been trying it out. So far it seems to help a lot with the launcher pro lag. I'm going to pull the file from my phone and make a zip to easily add it or I can post a link to the thread and you can add it manually through terminal emulator. It will be included in future rom updates as well ;)

im not a launcherpro user, but for you,CS, i will change so i can test  do i just need to install it from the market and leave it at that? or do i need to move it to system/app?

ive got the paid launcher pro as well,so i can test on the free version or the paid version if you want :)

id prolly rather have a .zip than type in terminal emulator  but either way is cool

I'll have the zip made in probably about half an hour. I haven't moved the apk to system/app either I have it in data installed from the market and I have the plus version as well. I was never a LP user myself but got it so I can test things on it as well trying to see if I can do something with the lag that the people who do use it ate getting. :) I also have the paid version of adw. Something that myself and another have noticed is that for some reason ... nit sure why yet.... but the battery life is a lit better with launcher pro.... not sure why that is but it is lol. Hopefully you guys notice the same thing as me with this fix for launcher pro. :) I'll post it shortly ;)

I'll do some testing for you. I need something to distract me from my con law studying. Right now I've got too much commerce clause and not enough android in my life.

I'm a launcher pro guy.

Here you go guys... Flash from recovery should not need to wipe cache or anything like that. I didn't, all I did was create the file in terminal emulator as described here LauncherPro: Fix lag when returning to Home Screen - xda-developers and reboot. I pulled the file and made a zip that you can flash to make it simple or you can do it through Terminal Emulator as described in HungryMan's thread. I think it seems to make a difference so far personally :) here is the zip if you want to just flash it... I will have this built in to future updates if it's a positive change for everyone :)

Yes BC.... it is in the DropBox if you want to try it out too :p lol

I just flashed it. By the way, what did I just sign up for? I didn't know there were any problems with Launcher Pro.

I got a black screen and a force close right away but it seems fine now.

No serious problems I'm aware of... Just the slight lag that seems to be on all the GB roms with LP... What FC'd? LP?

The lag is gone!!!

Screens scroll right away, dock scrolls right away, app drawer opens right away. What ever this does, it does it right.

well,heck... i didnt get a chance to download last night. did it just now and now my phone is in the middle of updating a bunch of apps  ill report on how well it works later after its done ;)

Well,I don't know how laggy LP was before, but its smooth as glass now. Ill set up my homescreens and leave it a couple days to be sure. But first impresssions are it works good :D I'm still on stripped cm7,if that matters.

As far as stripped goes, its still good, but did have several market FCs while updating apps

maybe something to do with this xtrRCMix? i had to download rom manager 3 times before it actually installed, and besides the power off prollem you mentioned,it doesnt seem to be reliable in the other modes either. if i try to reboot into recovery from the power off menu, sometimes it will reboot to recovery, sometimes it just reboots

Yes, I had too many issues with the xtrRCMix - automatic brightness was always off, and there were some weird things happening with other apps. I had to go back to xtrSENSE.

I tried Condemned again yesterday and decided to try to see how many rings it would take to recognize a call, as I was having issues with that before - the phone would ring but never show the caller until milliseconds before the call went to voice mail. Anyway, the answer was too many - my phone never rang. I tried twice 5 minutes apart - it would always then notify me that I missed a call - then restored xtrSENSE, and it worked fine in three straight tests from there. I love this Condemned ROM, so I'm bummed about that. I'm getting close to biting the bullet and upgrading the phone at this point. I'm not 100% happy with Verizon's current lineup so hopefully I can it out a bit longer.
