Root condemned cm7

Sometimes I think my phone has some glitches that seems to disappear after I reboot.
 
I'm on v7 and still getting the lag. Wake it up and slide to unlock and it has to think weather it wants to do it or not. I'm set at 480/710. When I turn the phone the orientation thinks about it. I need to turn that off cause I don't care to use that anyway. Got a call from the GF yesterday and the slider froze and wouldn't unlock so I missed the call and had to call her back. There are other times I can't think of.

Which governor are you using? I'm using on demand with those same CPU settings and haven't had that yet... ill look around some more and see if I can find anything though. :(

Smartass and I flashed v3 back to see the difference. There was one version that my phone had absolutely no issues with but don't recall which.

I think his favorite was 3 also. I don't understand why he's getting the lag though... I'm not getting it here. Especially calls. I can answer mine as soon as I hear the ringtone start. Unless he has a lot more apps than me or more things that run in the background maybe. I have noticed too something that was brought to my attention is that the phandroid app continues to run in the background after you close it.. I'm constantly going into running services to shut it down now.

On a side note. The stripped version is going to go in a different direction now. Its still going to be cm7 but with some of the extras removed instead of removing all the cm stuff. I'm gonna make it as small as I can lol

That would be great. Also I think it was back on gsb that I reported the phandroid app used a lot of memory and continued to run after closing. I use that app a lot. Alot of times when I'm posting I'm on my phone.

I believe Gemro emailed the dev about it. Hopefully he responds. I'm trying a few things as well but so far I have to keep shutting it down manually. Have you tried GRE v7 yet BC? That's about 10 MB smaller than the stock version. Maybe that would help... I'm running the stock version with the framework, sytemui and keyboard from GRE pushed to it so mine is actually a little bigger than the stock v7 lol

Damn... I thought that might be better than what I'm running right now since it's smaller :confused: I'll look through that one then.. Maybe I need to adjust something in there because the theme is running fine over the stock version... I think I'm going to make the theme into a theme chooser apk sometime instead of doing it as a separate rom... I haven't decided for sure yet...

Oh my bad, no I haven't flashed GRE v7. I was running reg v7. Maybe I should flash that one. I was going to in the hotel room last night but the battery was low and I didn't have a wall charger. I'm still busting a concrete floor today so maybe tonight after I drive back from the beach. :D

I'm sad to report that, tonight, both my wife and I ran into the GPS bug in Navigation, where, after several minutes of guidance, it suddenly thinks it's lost the signal and stops working properly.

Several minutes later, mine somehow lost its data feed when it shouldn't have (My wife still had hers working, sitting next to me in the car).

This is a bug I've seen resolved in other ROMS after being reported by several people but I can't remember what they were calling it.

In case it's relevant, I'm using the new gapps from the GSB site.

Hi..Please try this..Go to maps,menu,more, and clear the map tile cache and check the perfetch maps item right above it. This worked for me.
Let us know if it helps please.
