Root condemned cm7

Thanks for the wishes and thoughts guys.

@paleodust - I'm hoping that there is a new nightly out soon and the gps issue is related to that. I can't find anything else that could be effecting it. Let's keep out fingers crossed...

@bobcat - the flashable zip for the htc-ime keyboard is in the misc folder of my dropbox.

@scotty - sorry but don't hold your breathe on the thunderbolt thing... i'm not elgible for upgrade until nov and i'm sure i'll have some sweet choices by then. honestly though... if i were to pick right now it'd probably be the inc2 for me ;)

My upgrade is around the same time (late October). Maybe I'll wait to see which phone you decide on.

But what good is 4 g if the battery is always dead anyway? ;)

oooh,ouch!

is 4g not planned for you? maybe youll have it by the time your upgrade rolls around. ive gotten has high as 18mbps down on the outskirts of 4g... i cant wait for it to be full blown working here. if theyre planning it for you at any time in the future i would reccomend not rushing into a phone thats not capable of it!

now if youre never going to have 4g where you live and/or need a global phone thats a different story ;):p

in my TBs defense, its battery life with the right rom/kernel is no worse than my eris or my inc. theres an "lte on/off" app on in the market now that makes turning 4g on and off easy if you dont want it at a given time.

Sorry to continue the OT, but the other issue with the LTE phones is that they are all large screen behemoths. If there is one thing that may persuade me to buy an iPhone rather than another Android phone, it's that the OEMs simply do not seem to be making excellent devices with smaller than 4.3" displays. I like pocketability.

I prefer a bigger screen. I have to wear reading glasses so it would make it easier for me to see. Plus I would like the bigger keyboard for texting and whatnot.

That's fine, but when it's nothing but big screens, there is no choice. If you need a big screen, you are all set. If you want a smaller screen, you better not want LTE at this point, and it looks that way for a few months, too. (Thunderbolt, Charge, Bionic, Revolution - all large.)

I agree. That is another reason for me with the inc2 over the TB is the size. I'd much rather have something I can stick in my pocket or even my shirt pocket.

I'm really digging this rom. I switched from GSB 3.0 to v7 and have only had one minor problem and that is a slow loading gallery. It did it to me on some of the GSB versions too, so I'm not all that worried about it. I would like to know though, if there is a way to lock an app (where it can't be moved accidently) to the dockbar? When I flick up to get to the other apps, sometimes I end up moving the app drawer launcher.

Yea I've had that same issue of hiding the app drawer.

hate to say it... but there is prolly some sound reasoning behind that. its prolly a fairly accurate statement to say that a large percentage of the folks that are excited about LTE,do in fact want a bigger screen. im not by any means saying that youre the only one who doesnt :p or that LTE/3.7" screen is a stupid idea, but most folks that want LTE likely want to stream movies, surf the net, play online games, etc.,and the bigger the better for a screen :D

you just need bigger pockets :D

in all seriousness,i want the big screen also. i am away from my PC alot, and the 4.3" screen is an excellent compromise in carrying one device. if i didnt have a decent sized screen id also want to carry a tablet,in addition to my cell phone. i surf the forums and the net during down time, and watch utube videos. sometimes even old episodes of things on tv.com.

but we all have different needs and thats cool :)

i have that same prollem! i make my dockbar dissapear all the time, lol.

Time for me to head out guys... I'll be back in a week or 2 but I'll try and check in as I can. I'll work on an update as soon as I can. Take care everyone.

See if you can come up with a hardware update this time. I could use some more RAM. :D

Don't know about that one and don't think I'm supposed to even be on here... Shh... don't tell them... BUT... I think I'll have something to fix the exchange sync real soon. ;) These idiots here really need to learn about wifi security :rolleyes:
