Thanks for the update. I tested it out near home when I already knew where I was going, so it was not a problem. I'm currently traveling in Canada and had to turn data off to avoid roaming charges, so I won't need it here anyway.

I don't use the GPS often, but I like to know it's there if I need it.

There's 2 versions of V8. The plain CM Vanilla and "Stripped 2 Hell" which is the version you and BC were testing for a little bit but with the CM stuff still in it too. This is actually the 2nd official release of it ;) There was one for V7 too :) lol.

I don't use it very often either and for that reason I sometimes fail to remember to check it :o. I hope to have something for it soon though.
 
CS, I'm on the new Stripped2Hell version and I noticed in the market that where it normally says "Verizon" for all the carrier apps, it now says "My Apps." Doesn't seem to effect anything, and I kinda like having that option there, but I wanted to let you know incase this is a symptom of something else.

I just noticed it on mine too now that you pointed it out. I've seen it mentioned in a couple of the other CM7 threads this time around so I'm leaning towards it being something in the nightly but I will look into it and see if I can do something. I kinda like the "My Apps" tab better myself but I know a lot of people are used to the "Verizon" tab and prefer that.
 
Just wanted you guys to know that I'm home and today has been pretty busy BUT... I'll be uploading a new version soon and so far GPS seems to be working great... been locked on for over an hour now with no issues :D

Sounds great! (Glad you're doing well).

By the way, when I go into the gallery, view a picture, and turn it on its side, the picture gets scrambled. It's been doing it ever since I switched to Condemned 7. Is it just me? :confused:

Sweet, glad to hear it. I'm planning on playing with Tazz's gingersense ROM tonight, but after I'm done with that I'll flash the new version. Glad to see you back.

I'll see what I can do with that also. I'll probably be doing another update this weekend at some point. ;)

I'm doing much better so far.. still getting pretty bogged down with the new meds but I'll adjust at some point (I hope lol)

I am losing internal memory like nobody's business. I wiped everything before I flashed the last version. I keep the cache cleared, haven't added new apps or Widgets or wallpapers, and delete superfluous things off my internal memory. Meanwhile, I lose about 10 MB / day of internal memory. Now I'm down to 17MB free. Any suggestions?

Does the internal memory stay ' lost' after a reboot?

What programs are chewing up your memory? The paid app Quick App Manager has some nice sorting features which make it easy to figure this out.

On my wife's phone a lot of internal memory was bringing consumed by email.

I'm not sure - haven't checked yet. But I've not had this issue before. The mem does stay lost after reboot. :( I really don't add more apps to my arsenal. I pretty much stick with what works and that's about it. I don't use my phone to do anything spectacular. Hmmm... I've have to Check through QAM and see what's eating up my internal memory. (THAT app, I had! ;) )

I would try removing the email apk with titanium backup. Another app that seems to me to use a lot is phandroid. So far the only way I've found to keep that from running in the background is to log out before closing it. Have you tried flashing zachs c2c? If not that might be worth looking into as well. There is a link to the thread in my xda op :)

Thanks scotty... It feels good to be home again. So far things are going well but I'm having a hard time staying up like I used to. If I do manage to stay up though I sleep late in the morning which sucks too because I like getting up at 3 when the house is quiet and it's peaceful outside. I'm also finding that I have a lower tolerance for some people and their games but I'm not going to go there... Just getting tired of it is all.
 
I'm working on an update now. Still resyncing with CM. I will be posting updates for Vanilla, Stripped and possibly a Stripped Ghost Rider version as well. They will not be posted tonight but possibly tomorrow as long as everything goes well. These will be the final updates on this ROM. Thank you everyone for your support and I'm glad you enjoyed my ROM. Final update coming soon.
 
Thanks for all of your hard work CS. What are you going to be up to now? Taking it easy and getting your meds and stuff all on track?

Final meaning the last update to this ROM for a while... I'm going to put it on hiatus until some things change. If they don't change before CM7 has reached Final then I will update it again then or I may decide to mess with some things here and there for something to do but until then I'm going to take a break. There's been a lot of things going on and said that has cause me to lose a lot of respect for some people and where I was and what I was going through last week really helped me to open my eyes to a lot of things that really piss me off. Until some of these things and attitudes change I'm going to lay low. Then there is the chance too that I change my mind and continue to update like I have been and try to ignore the ignorance. It's not always easy but I might still do just that and say eff 'em. Time will tell. Maybe once I get fully adjusted it will be easier too.

I can't say I know what you're referring to but I'm sorry you were offended. I hope I didn't contribute to your frustration.

Anyway, I've never seen a dev work so well with the end users and I've really appreciated it. I'm not even sure what your motives are but you've done a great job of keeping me satisfied.

I'm saddened to see it wind down and hope it ends up being a bluff.

It's none of my users and no one here. I've been talking to BC about it and he knows what I've been going through this past week and I've told him a portion of the reasons for my decision but I'm also considering to continue updating and keeping the ROM here on AF away from the BS I've been dealing with over there. No worries. you are not a factor to my frustrations at all. None of you here are. It's mainly just that I'm sick of the games being played by some people and then the behind the scenes BS I get for speaking up. This ROM has really been a learning experience in more things than the ROM itself and everything involved with it. But also who people are and what they really are. I started to see it from the day I released this ROM. Then the day my brother died another thing happened that opened my eyes even more to things. But this past week was the real eye opener and then today there's been a couple more things as well.
