Root condemned cm7

On a side note... I should have my Inc in the next day or 2. I have an email to one person for one that I can activate but if that falls through I have one I can get for $50 but it has a bad ESN so I can't activate it which will make it hard to test some things for ROMs but I know a few that can do those parts for me ;) lol. I also have a ROM just about ready for it just trying to decide which kernel to use with it :)

Good news.:D

Awesome Rom- CS. Just as fast as my Charge..too bad you can't make the Eris screen bigger..lmao! GPS is right on . Noticed a new setting under CM performance..that you can now increase VM heap size to 48m ..hmmm ..

Also I see you increased the speed in windowsmgr.Max events to 90.
Cool
Thanks for the awesome rom.

What's the advantage of 48?

Thanks gem... guess that Charge is pretty damn slow then huh ;):p lmao. I've been trying it out this afternoon after going back to V9 with VM heap set to 48.. seems pretty smooth so far. Hopefully sometime tomorrow I'll be testing my remake of 9.5 to see how that goes. I think I found where my discrepancies were in it. I think though that it might end up being a full wipe if I add the changes and that also could be what was causing my instability since it's a good amount of changes in the boot image.

Actually this ROM..makes the Eris pretty darn close speedwise to the charge.. love both phones. Good luck with the Inc.

from what i can gather pokin around in the charge forum, thisnt sayin much  apparently they come with some kind of wierd, crappy filesystem that makes the phone extremely slow... stock quadrant scores(for what theyre worth) are only in the 500s... the lil eris should feel just as quick with the right software :D

Hold out on the clean ESN. I think you would regret it if you didn't.

i think so too,CS... youll want the ability to make it an active phone so you can enjoy it. id also try and hold out for one with an amoled screen. most things work with the slcd screen now,but every now and then youll have some issues because of it,and youll have to be careful what hboot you run with the slcd also.

Actually it's the launcher that makes the phone slow and laggy
I put launcher pro on and has made a world of difference. Just wish Verizon, didn't have to go and put all their "crapware" on it. Its crazy. But as long as there is CS long live the ERIS.

I just wanted to say a quick thanks for working on a rom for this majorly outdated phone. We picked one up on launch for my fiancee to use, and it's really all the phone she needs. Was running an old Tazz rom on it that had a few issues but overall worked well. Upgraded to your's and this little phone is running almost as well as my Droid 1.

1 issue I have noticed on it, is anything image related seems to lag a bit. For example switching wallpapers or going into gallery seems to be fairly slow compared to the old Tazz we had on it. Also live wallpapers seem to have gotten a bit worse, even with oc'ing it a bit faster.

Thanks for trying my ROM :). I'm currently working on testing out a few different things to try speeding those things up along with speeding up the whole thing overall. Hopefully in the next update some of these things will be improved. Also.. I'm not sure which version of this ROM you are using but keep in mind that if you are using the stripped 2 hell version or the Ghost Rider Edition, I removed the live wallpapers apk so if they do anything they will be very laggy on those versions. Make sure you are using the Vanilla version for LWP.... there's only about a 3MB difference between Vanilla and S2H anyway.. I personally never use LWP so I never tested them either :o lol.

Sounds like the next update is going to be a good one, if you are working on speed improvements, faster is always better :D

Any luck with horizontal mode in the gallery? That would be very nice to have back again.

By the way, the sync has been working really well for email exchange lately. Thanks for fixing that! :)

I'm trying to anyway :) lol. We'll see how it goes though...

Still messing with the gallery also.. I might try the old 2d gallery and see if that is any better at least for now until the rotation bugs get sorted out.

Glad to hear the exchange mail is working for you... There's a guy on xda that keeps complaining about it saying it's sucking the life out of his battery... He's the only one complaining about it though... I don't have an exchange account to check things with lol.

Actually, now that you mention it, something is sucking the life out of my battery like no other. I was wondering if it might be the culprit. See if you can figure what's causing it.

my wife is trying to reactivate her Eris after switching lines & getting a new #, but when using *228 the on screen keyboard doesn't display. any suggestions? she's running this ROM btw

Dial *228 then long press the menu softkey to get the keyboard to come up and switch the keyboard to numbers to select option 1 or 2. ;)

Press Menu. Then, go to the number keyboard. I hope that makes sense.
