Coolest Feature,Tip,Trick or App you have found For the Note 2

Cant get mine to do that. Do you mean when its locked or just asleep?
Is there a setting to get that feature ?

You need to have "Quick Glance" checked in the Motions menu. Settings --> Motions --> Quick Glance

Then, with the phone on a table, just wave your hand over the top of the screen

That is stop darn COOL! I read all 18 pages this morning and learned so much. It's overwhelming at times, lol.

Couple things, one, my Rogers Note 2 also has the ability to write notes on back of photos. And two, a quick question... in S Planner, when you enable the option to draw on the calendar, is there any way to have those scribbles appear all the time? Especially on the widget? I would LOVE to have that feature.

I am noticing a lot of the time when I circle something with my SPen it isnt capturing it or giving me the option to save/share... Cannot figure out what is causing it to work when it does either... Been TS it since I received it and just cannot seem to get it right, you guys have any ideas?

Are you holding the button on the spen while you're circling, and I notice it needs to be a whole circle.

Anyone know how to switch back from handwriting mode back to a keyboard? Have been clicking on everything and for the life of me can't change back from handwriting mode, lol!

Never mind, I figured it out. Need to long press the mic button that shows up while in handwriting mode, which will then give you a few options - one of which is to change back to the QWERTY keyboard. This is specifically for the Samsung keyboard.

I tried the Share Shot feature with some guys at work today (both S3 users). Share shot automatically sends new pictures you have taken over wi-fi direct (don't need to be connected to a wifi hotspot) to the people you have designated.

It was pretty easy to setup. Go to your stock camera, hit the settings icon (the gear), tap shooting mode, tap share shot, hit OK and it will open the Wi-FiDirect settings page for you (which is under wifi if you ever want to go there directly). I found both of the S3s listed there and selected them both. We all took pictures and within a few seconds the pictures showed up on all our phones.

I've completely forgot about that feature. i certainly must try that the next time at a restaurant or event. That alone will reduce the time waiting to get the pics sent to us to then eat the food. A few of us take pics before attacking the food. lol

I was going to say when I first got mine I was going to do this also, but draw on image is what you select. I thought it meant "draw" so I finally just clicked on it to see what it does and it flips the photo over so you can write on the back.

Almath, how did you change the fonts on your phone to look as they do in the pic?

Isn't that a great font? I look on Appbrain app market daily so I found this one day, unfortunately it is no longer available for download. If you search the Play store for flipfont there are some for .99 cents. Here's a pic of the one unavailable.

Which one of the embedded fonts is that? Choco cooky or Rosemary?

Settings, Display, Font Style, choose new font?

Edit, never mind. post came in a few seconds before mine.

See above, In my haste to brag I didn't even think about did he want to know "how to" change the font. Hahaha I'm so crazy! :D

I just stumbled on the coolest trick.

If your phone is asleep, and you get a text, if you use the Spen and hover over the message icon on the lock screen, it will show you a preview of the text.

It's pretty cool.

As a side note, I am really digging this swype-like function on the samsung keyboard. Using this function with the Spen is faster than the writing function.

Hmm... not getting that to work for me, but sounds cool!

On this page: Samsung Apps
The Note 2 isn't listed, does this program still run on the phone? I don't have Samsung Apps on my Verizon Note 2, that I can tell?

Samsung Apps

Sprint version isn't even listed on there. Not sure what the Verizon model number is, but they have 3 versions (gt-n7100, sgh-t889, sch-r950

I guess maybe Verizon took it off? Not sure what else to say.

-EDIT- Here's the direct link to Photo Editor

-2nd EDIT-
If you want Samsung Apps, in order to get Photo Editor, it's in the Play Store:
