Root Crap......

Ok. Phone just took a dump. Tried everything. Jacked up. Now I'm going into the sprint store to get a replacement. What I'm wondering is can i root the 6.16 bootloader?

6.16 is already rooted.


What exactly happened?

If they can get to bootloader and see 6.16 they'll know your rooted.
 
If you CAN unroot (can still see the screen somewhat), I would attempt it before taking it in.
Depending on who the person happens to be at the store they may be less than willing to help.


If you cant see the screen I guess it doesnt matter, bring it on in
 
i got s on. im just hoping that they will give me a replacement cause i cant even get passed the htc evo screen now.
 
I walked in there and i gave her the phone. The first thing that i think gave it away was the reverse color splash screen. Then she took it to the back room and said, have you ever rooted ur tone. I said yes cause i didn't know it would make a diff and now it wont be worked on. So i need to come up with 100$... :(:(:(
 
did you try and run the ruu found in the dummies guide? try also the ruu exe file at the bottom of the unrooting section. this will return everything back to stock.
 
You don't need to use your insurance to replace a cracked screen. Evo replacement screens are 18 bucks online. Get one, and take it and your evo to the sprint store. They should be able to fix you up in the store.
