Root [CWM] Clockworkmod Recovery for the LG Optimus M+

Yes it is shabbies.
k kewl, just rename the old one n add .bak on it, and name this one like Shabby has the old one.

This one should work just fine, still the same configs Shabby n I used b4, just need to make sure builder.clockwork built it correctly n then I can build n publish the official one(s). ;)

Ok. I flashed this image. I changed the name to match what shabby penguin had in his installer and just used his one click to flash our to my phone. Looks nice. I haven't had opportunity to try it all yet, but I booted into it. It looks really nice. You mentioned touch, does that just mean the built in buttons on the phone; menu, home, back and search? Or do you mean the individual menu options? If it's the menu options, those didn't work a touch for me. I had to use menu for down, home for up, back was back and search was select.
kk, that one was non touch, if you can test touch out quickly I can run a build on it n upload it.

Should see the M+ listed in ROM Manager now and also can get the img's here: ClockworkMod ROM Manager - Recoveries

Excellent! I went and flashed it this morning. I can boot into it just fine. However, I think ROM manager has changed. Before, I was able to perform a ROM backup from within RM. I think I got an update to it, and now it doesn't use my external sd card. In fact, the option is grayed out and I can't even select it. I know that isn't the problem of the recovery, just the RM app.
Edit: I'll provide a screen shot in a bit.

Well, I couldn't get a screen shot. Apparently, when it's in the recovery adb doesn't see it connected. Here's what I've got:

ROM Manager 5.0.1.4 and CWM 6.0.1.1.

This is the text on the screen:

ClockworkMod Recovery v6.0.1.1
Waiting for SD Card to mount (20s)
SD Card mounted
Verifying SD Card marker...
Error processing ROM Manager script. Please verify that you are performing the backup, restore, or ROM installation from ROM Manager v.4.4.0.0 or higher.
/tmp/recovery.log was copied to /sdcard/clockworkmod/recovery.log. Please open ROM Manager to report the issue.

So how do I report the issue?

Ok. Well I solved my difficulties. I uninstalled both RM and RM pro. I deleted the directories from the internal memory, and off the 8 Gig SD card. I rebooted just to clear cache and then reinstalled RM and RM pro. Now I can perform my backups from RM. I'm a little disappointed that it doesn't use my 8gig card any more, but, maybe in a future release. I am very happy that we now have an official CWM through ROM Manager. Thank you playfulgod, and koushik (I hope I spelled his name right).

This may not be said enough.......THANK YOU!!!!!!
I now have CWM running and updated.

I did have some difficulties getting the .bat file to work correctly. This was more than likely due to the fact my M+ was already Rooted, under-clocked, and no where near stock. Working my way thru the .bat, and changing what was needed to make each command work, I finally got it to work right.

I would offer the suggestion that your M+ be stock before using unless you have a fair knowledge of Andriod/Linux systems.

Again, THANK YOU for the work everyone puts into projects like this.

Can someone give me a simplified way of updating cwm to the touch version? I have rom manager installed and even paid the 2 bucks to get the touch version and it won't update

EDIT: Got it :D i replaced the img file with the one on the rom manager website

I'm in the same boat. I paid the money and it said it downloaded, but the recovery looks the same.

Same.... Downloaded and installed new cwm touch. Looks almost Identical, claims it's 6.0.1.1, however it isn't touch like the link and file BOTH say.... Any suggestions?

I worked with it that way for a long time. Then after one of the recent ROM Manager updates, I decided to rehash the recovery and it changed to the touch version. Give it a try again. If it doesn't work, then try again another time.
