Root CyanogenMod 6.0.0-RC1

I don't know why it didn't occur to me, but I tried using the bar code and when it didn't work I didn't think to use the download link for the .apk. *sigh*

I've now got it installed and working. :)

So, anyone else have issues with LauncherPro? It works but the animation's choppiness makes me dizzy. I'll try messing with its settings.

LauncherPro is running like a dream for me. I did have to mess with the settings before it was running right.

Exactly why I switched to ADW...I kinda miss launcher pro tho

I tried ADW and did not like it after playing with the setting of LauncherPro

Do you have an idea of what you did? Maybe there could be a "LauncherPro on Cyanogen" tips post.:D

I'm running the xThemed one from here http://androidforums.com/roms-droid/109945-theme-xtheme-0-4-droid-x-froyo-2-2-frf84b-7-11-10-a.html The download link is in the 2nd post.

i have not had any problems with LP performance running at 1000mhz

I did when I first booted...may have something to do with it...

I am also having gallery issues with pics not loading, bluetooth problems, wallpaper setting issues...I love CM but may go back to BB for a bit

Hey everyone, quick question about this ROM. I loved the fullscreen browser in the older CM's and really excited to use it again. But when I enable it and navigate from one page to another, I see part of the previous webpage on top and the loading bar for the new one under (double bars) I don't remember is being this way with previous ROM's. Is there anyway to fix it?

I obviously need to tinker more, I hadn't noticed all those settings. Thanks!

You should try wiping data...I've use BT w/no issues, gallery loads and shows my pics, and I don't futz w/wallpaper so no comments on that...

That's what I said in an earlier post. the DROID sound is the DROID. I can't imagine a Droid without the sound.

It's my message sound :)

Completely agree. I've got a bunch of great text notifications sounds from my older phones that I love, but I haven't been able to get away from using DDRROOIIDD!! It's just so fitting. And every time it goes off, I find I have to repeat it. Hahaha, and it just went off as I typed that! Of course, it goes off pretty frequently, as I've set that notification for every single notification. (I've since gone back to BBeast...I've been playing musical ROMs a lot lately)

Well, it's been another day and it seems all the hiccups in performance have ironed themselves out (maybe there is something to that "giving it a day or two to settle" thing). LauncherPro is working great with the new settings; which is awesome because I just now discovered the moveable "band" of shortcuts along the bottom of the screen and I would be really really sad to give that up. :)

The only thing I've noticed is my battery use is a little elevated compared to Kangerade; but then I've been running it at 1000mhz vs. 800mhz before.

Ok my phone has been running perfect for six days now....six long days....I need a new ROM to flash....lol :p

Faster generally means somewhat more power...

Is anyone else having a problem with the ChompSms widgets not showing the homescreen widget selector? I flashed back to nexfro and they were there. Is there a way I can get them to show again?

The first step is admitting you have a problem... ;)

Problem? I don't have a problem :D, the problem is no new ROM to flash...if there was a new ROM to flash everything in the world would be right....lol

Ok maybe a little one...

Just to clear the really simple things first...I presume you're sure Chomp was installed on CM6? ;)

I haven't had any missing widget issues, on any ROM, ever, actually, so this is a new one to me.

The favorite fixes like uninstall/reinstall Chomp, or wiping data (if you didn't do that when you installed the ROM) are available.

ha..yes, its installed :p Ive done everything..clear data/uninstall/reinstalled. Emailed the dev. I also wipe everytime I install a new ROM. It actually worked for the first couple of days I installed CM6. Just out of the blue, they disappeared from the list and my homescreen.

Fixed my problem. Apparently I must have moved chomp to my SD card..I do not remember doing that but I must have done it. Moved it back to the phone, restarted and there it was :D.

Ah, yes, I should have thought of that, happened to me as well w/another app.

CM defaults to "Automatic" for install location, so if you didn't move it, Android may have put it there....glad you solved it.

I've been running the kernel at 800mhz for several days now, same as before with Kangerade. I get less than a day of use with CM 6 as opposed to a day and a half with Kangerade. However, I did change kernels...so I'm going to try a couple of different ones to see if it's the kernel rather than the ROM.

I've had pretty good luck with the JDLFG kernels... They are in ROM Manager and over on the CM forums. He says they have a power savings programed in and they seem to be very nice on battery life even at the 1.15 that I'm running at...
